Which Marian apparition do you find to be the most compelling?

Of all the approved Marian apparitions, which one do you find most compelling and why?

If there is another that you find most compelling, please list it and explain why you find it compelling.

If you don’t find any of them compelling, please feel free to express why.

I can’t vote on the poll because of my member status, but I feel that Fatima is the most compelling Marian apparition because she gave us the three secrets, and explained the importance of saying the Rosary!
 
As a Hispanic I will always have a devotion and love to La Virgen de Guadalupe. I’m also fascinated by Our Lady of Fatima! 👍
 
only 4 of those apparitions have I had any connections/studied on but the Lady of Lourdes has been the one that has blessed me the most so far. But Im def. going to check out the other ones now as well! God Bless You, Kim

I would say Fatima since it involves both the Eastern and Western Churches. For the first time ever an invitation was made for the Catholic Church to pray for a predominately Eastern Orthodox nation. This invitation and the response to this invitation tells us what God can do when people decide to pray in large numbers for each other. I often suspect that Fatima is the beginning for our eventual unity for the Eastern and Western Churches for it has brought in something that was never done before.

I voted for Fatima also and I believe if we had heeded OLF’s warnings and did as she asked, we wouldn’t be in the shamful situation our world is in today. We’re still breathing so it’s not to late to start NOW!!, Pray the Rosary every day. God Bless, Memaw
 
Our Lady of Kibeho has had the strongest influence on my prayer life, and therefore moved my heart cliser to her Son. Perhaps because it has occured within my lifetime, but also through studying these apparitions I have been introduced to the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows, a rosary of immense comfort and healing.

Our Lady of Guadalupe is my favourite, I also love the Our Lady of Carmel Apparation.

Fatima. When I read how the little children would give up their lunches for the poor souls in Purgatory and make other sacrifices for sinners in the world, I was convinced of the truth of it all. I worked with children and not many of them could stand up to the tortures and sacrifices these little children made. Mary had to be real! I believe in all the apparitions (and I love Lourdes and Saint Bernadette) but Fatima was the one that convinced me.
 
My favorite is Our Lady of Guadalupe. So many were converted after her apparition there. There are so many miracles connected to that apparition.

My second would be Our Lady of Lourdes.
 
I find them interesting but not compelling. If I personally experienced something like this, I would find it compelling. Otherwise, they are just stories to me.
 
I suppose the two that most take my attention are Fatima and Akita. But I lean towards Akita for a few reasons -
  1. It gives graphic warning of trouble to come, which virtually matches that of the symbolic language of Revelation.
  2. It’s one of the most recent (1970’s).
  3. So far the Japanese have been quite resistant to Christianity, yet God sent Mary to Japan.
  4. I have this private opinion that God intends to hand Australia over to the Japanese in due course, but that’s my peculiar, private opinion.
 
I probably know more about Lourdes and Fatima than I do the others. They are both equally compelling for me. I am still learning about all the Marian devotions, apparitions.

This is probably more along the lines of what I should have said. I hardly know anything about any others! 😊
 
None of them have any special place in my spirituality.

I do have a personal devotion to Mary, but to be honest, I never understood the whole idea of building a devotion on someone else’s relationship with her. 🤷

Just curious Bob, does not the messages of our Lady of Akita have the same tone as the one from Fatima. I was thinking that this warning from her visit to Japan was actually the same warning in Fatima which had stated if the conditions do not improve within Russia that a certain collision with the use of nuclear bombs was unavoidable. May be the timing of this apparition was to reinforce some of the people within the Church to continue to pray. Since the changes have occurred now within Russia does the Vatican believe these messages from Akita still to be in effect? The situation seems to be different now as religion is now on the increase in the East but declining much in the West.

From my understanding, the apparitions that I am familiar with, such as Lourdes and Fatima, contained messages and a ‘relationship’ with all of us, not just for those who received the messages.
 
For me it is Fatima. I agree that Our Lady made many predictions to warn us and sadly her advice was not followed resulting in many deaths (war, rampant sexual sins) and loss of souls.
