I would say St. Bernadette and John Henry Newman.(I think he is a saint)

I have read “Song of Bernadette” I don’t know how many times over since I was 13 yrs old and it never fails to move me.

I found a prayer which was written by John Henry Newman and it seemed so appropriate for my life that I have been praying it often for years.

St Faustina! I was recently confirmed and we had to choose a saint for our confirmation name. I read several autobiographies but when I discovered “Diary Divine Mercy in My Soul”, by St Maria Faustina Kowalska I felt such a connection with her that I choose her for my confirmation name.\

When I spend time in holy adoration before the blessed sacrament I read her book and ask the holy spirit to enlighten me through her words. I always leave with more understanding and love for Jesus because of her and of course the blessed sacrament.

Isn’t it a blessing that those who constitute the Church Triumphant can guide us here in the Church Militant until we can get there with them? There are so many that it’s hard to pick one because whatever our situation may be, you can best be sure that there has been a saint who has been through the very same situation: So here’s a list that is far far from exhaustive

St. Joseph: has anyone really taken the time to appreciate the
task set forth by St. Joseph in his guardianship of the Holy Family?

John the Baptist: boy if our bishops had his intrepid spirit…He was not afraid to tell the truth.

St. John Vianney-the Cure of Ars: He is the ideal for all parish priest…a true priest

Maximillian Kolbe: “no greater love than this than to lay down one’s life for one’s friend.”

St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine: giants of the Church, brilliant minds that the Holy Spirit raised up to guide the Church, solidify doctrine

St. Catherine of Sienna: a true visionary not afraid to put forth the Truth during a turbulent time

St. Cecelia, my patron saint, one who courageously faced marytrdom…

All of the martyrs for giving us an example of the full flowering and the assurance that comes from complete acceptance and trust in Sanctifying Grace…

🙂 St. Faustina, Without a doubt! Hello, Faustina. I had to be Faustina22, because of you! 🙂 You’re a sweetie.

Right now, definitely St. Gerard Majella.

My wife, Lori, and I are expecting our first baby after nearly 5 years of marriage. We had both pretty much given up on being able to have (biological) children around the end of last November when we were told about the practice of praying a novena dedicated to, and asking for intercession from, St. Gerard. We figured it was worth a try and BAM–it seemed like almost no time after we had finished it that Lori got pregnant.

I guess we have no way of knowing for sure if the novena had anything to do with it, but we’re planning on naming the baby either Gerard Michael or Eva Majella (Michael and Eva are both family names). We are so thankful!

St. Padre Pio, St. Maria Faustina, St. Michael the Archangel, St. Jude and St. Augustine

My late husband, when drunk, throw me over the furniture, screem at me and throw objects at me. My son, who believes God is for someone else, but also professed to hate the Catholic Faith.

My Priest knows my family history and when I chose ST. MONICA as my Patron Saint, he winked and smiled at me and said I had made a wise choice. 😉

This is a tough one, I know so many saints have helped me in my life. Mary is obviously my guide and my teacher, and my loving mother. She has done so much for me through her intercession. St. Joseph helps me with all things work related, I call him my agent in heaven. St. Charles Borromeo, my patron saint, is awesome! St. Therese keeps me in line and focused. St. Augustine, St. Thomas Aquinas…I could just keep on going…way to hard to pick one!

Joan of Arc

Her short life was like an exploding meteor. It takes you breath away.

For centuries people could scarcely believe she had really existed. Then, in 1820, the original transcript of her trial was found in the French National Archives and published for the first time. Holy cow! The “riddle of the ages” ( Mark Twain ) really did exist!!!

How can a person answer this?? Chose only one? That’s like asking which one food you would want for the next twenty years! Sure, I like eggplant parm, but some enchiladas from time to time are good, too! Anyway, I’m rambling… :o

St. Frederick – My namesake, and an inspiration to do “the right thing” even in the face of, er, assassination.

St. Luke – My patron saint, who has shown me the beauty of ever place I have visited, and has given me other insights besides.

St. Simon the Apostle

& St. Cecilia

Peace!
Fred

The Blessed Mother first and foremost, then St Therese of Lisieux.

Agh! How can one choose? 😉

Some of my favorites:

The Blessed Mother
St. Francis of Assisi
St. Teresa of Avila
St. John of the Cross
St. Pio
St. Gianna Molla
St. Maria Goretti
St. Augustine
St. Thomas Aquinas
St. Francis De Sales
St. John Chrysostom (Go Eastern Fathers!!!)
St Thomas More

let me stop before the list gets too long!

Bill

p.s. I like your signature.

The most important to me is the Blessed Virgin.

I also ask help from…

St. Michael the Archangel
St. Raphael the Archangel

My Guardian Angel

St. Joseph
St. Jude
St. Philomena
St. Clare of Assisi
St. Therese, The Little Flower
St. Rita
St. Louis De Montfort

For me, the Blessed Mother, followed by
Saint Philomena, Saint Jude, and Saint Christopher.
These have been especially helpful to me and I’m very grateful to them.

Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Joan of Arc

I was born on September 29, the feast day of the Archangels. My mother named me Michael, my grandfather’s middle name. She didn’t realize I was born on the feast day of the Archangel until looking at a catholic calendar. There has to be some divine intervention.

The Angelic Doctor and good ol’ St. Augustine of Hippo, of course.
