Drone strikes under President Barack Obama have killed an estimated 2,400 people – but there has never been an official count. That would change under a bipartisan bill introduced in the House of Representatives on Wednesday.

The bill, sponsored by Reps. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Walter Jones (R-N.C.), would require the administration to release an annual count of the number of people killed in drone strikes,** as well as information on whether they were believed to be civilians or combatants. **The legislation, which is similar to an amendment sponsored by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) in the 2014 intelligence authorization bill, would be retroactive for five years.

Supporters include advocacy groups like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, which simultaneously released highly critical reports on civilian deaths from the drone war in Pakistan and Yemen last year.

And we disagree with your points. The Benghazi “topic” hasn’t been fully addressed yet, so it can’t be over.

And those doing their best to cover up and deflect from this topic are doing so for purely partisan reasons.

Both of you please quit it with the personal attacks. We are entitled to disagree with each other, but imputing dishonest motives is essentially name-calling.

I haven’t seen anyone frothing (except maybe Taurus :)). And you have no idea what’s going on in anybody’s heads.

People with attitudes like your are the reasons there is so much division in this country. People who disagree with Obama are racists, bla, bla, bla.

This is the one question that haunts Nakoula most. “Why did the government release the deal?” Nakoula asked me. “Why did they put my life in danger?”
Nakoula does not exaggerate. On September 14, 2012, Smoking Gun published the document under the headline, “ Producer Of Anti-Islam Film Was Fed Snitch.”
Nakoula, a Coptic Christian from Egypt, had been arrested in June 2009 for his role in a check-kiting ring. He chose to cooperate in the fed’s pursuit of the ring’s mastermind in return for a lesser sentence.
Someone in the federal government released this sealed document less than 48 hours after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton first blamed the Benghazi attack on Nakoula’s video, “The Innocence of Muslims.”

-The mod not closing down the thread probably has more to do with an active discussion going on that is on topic than any sort of power a particular poster may think they have. Most people who no longer wish to partake of a discussion or have had their questions answered simply stop visiting a thread.
-Spelling isn’t my one of my strong points. Understanding what makes an attack spontaneous and what makes it planned is. I believe the latter is more relevant to the discussion than the former.
