A large fraction of Americans, possibly most of those under the age of 35, have been confused by the errors of relativism and arrogantly bigoted against anything that was held as a matter of common belief and values before 1950. I don’t know if they’ll ever be able to recognize which way is up.
To be fair, many common beliefs and values before 1950 were hypocritical and/or morally dubious. The good ones have kind of been tainted by association.

USA now stands for the United Sodomites of America

When will they strike the “In God We Trust” from our motto?

:bighanky:

I went out for an early morning walk here in Munich, Germany. As it is very hot here during the day, I thought it was better to get my walking in before things got uncomfortable. On top of that, I’m jet lagged and having problems sleeping. Why not get some exercise instead of flip flopping in bed?

I always enjoy walking in the “English Garden”—it’s an incredible area in Munich—one of the nicest city parks that I know. Along the western southwestern corner of the English Garden is the American Consulate. I just thought you might enjoy seeing this picture as Americans show the world what we are celebrating at this time. Please note the abundance of color. What an “incredible” message our foreign consulates are giving to the world. You will note the bunting on the fence. It’s not near as visible as the flags. Happy 4th of July.

Obama’s “Spiking of the Football” this past Friday by lighting up the White House in rainbow colors was classless, divisive and wrong headed (but, I wasn’t surprised that he did it). To make this same stupid error by flaunting this around the world is disheartening and heartbreaking. forums.catholic-questions.org/images/attach/bmp.gif

I cannot make out in the picture the color you are referring to other than the beautiful blue sky. don’t tell me the consulate in Munic adorned itself in rainbow colors? I hope not. to have our american consulates celebrating the decision would really be tasteless. I did see where somewhere in Germany they had a big rally celebrating the ruling.

Rainbow flags on the building and I guess the “lesser important” red, white and blue bunting on the lower fence/wall.

As my wife says, it angers her that they took one of Gods most beautiful creations (a rainbow) and used it to represent sick misguidedness.

I see the flags hanging on the side of the building.

I agree. what do the colors of the rainbow have to do with LGBTQ?

Disgusting.

I hope the light bulbs used were environmentally friendly and ethically made. Can’t add to the ever growing climate change and hurt Mother Gaia, and can’t exploit the workers’ dignity.

Sorry that the picture, as published by the forum, is so small—it’s very clear in the original. Yes, the rainbow flags (multiple) are hanging on the outside (draping) the American Consulate here in Munich. I went by today and the more patriotic American Flag bunting is gone—the rainbow flags remain. The Consulate had their Independence Day celebration on July 2 (yesterday) so I guess today, July 3, it wasn’t necessary to display our national colors anymore (sarcasm intended). I have gone to the Consulate and Embassy Facebook page–it looks like the American Ambassador to Germany fully took part in the “celebration” last week in Berlin for Gay Pride Day. No wonder the flags continue to fly at the Consulate. And, from what I can read online, these flags are being flown all over the world at Embassies and Consulates. The British have directed their foreign missions to NOT fly the flags. The USA flying the flags seems to be an outright order or strong suggestion from the State Department. I find it interesting that these flags were so readily available so quickly after the decision. I wonder if the embassies and consulates would fly any other flags—maybe they should fly the flag of the NRA when gun rights supporters win cases (as has happened in the past). We have multiple causes that have their own flags…will there be consistency? Somehow, I think not.

I bet these flags were not flown in Middle East countries where homosexuality is a crime and what about those African countries who don’t like Obama and don’t want him to ruin their countries like he has ruinwd the USA!

U.S. ambassador’s house in Vietnam.

Here’s an article about all of our embassies flying the rainbow colors.
washingtonblade.com/2015/06/29/u-s-officials-take-part-in-global-pride-events/:mad:

At vigil Mass this evening, our good priest preached a fiery sermon
about “so-called same sex marriage.” …and reminded us that God
can remove his protection from the U.S.
Hearing him speak was a breath of fresh air after all the political correctness
that’s floating around.

I am glad that your priest spoke out. nice to hear.
it is bad enough our house that houses the president and first lady was lit up like a rainbow flag, but the fact the state department gave the ok to the embassies is really disgusting!

As I said before, I can’t wait to see if the White House or State Departments will run up the flag of the NRA when they win their next decision in court.

And, this is one time that I hope the parishioners applauded at the end of a Homily since the Priest defended the cause of marriage. I wish more pulpits had the same message.

Yes,our young parochial vicar spoke out on this issue today at Nass.He recv’d a large applause,👍

Our priest wrote a letter in the bulletin. I would rather he had addressed the ruling in a homily. At least something was mentioned.
