Exactly. Don’t go to the Snake Goddess Kundalini and do her yoga prayer poses and repeat her mantras.

There are other forms of exercise that were not taken from a 5,000 year old snake goddess religion.

Your replies are irrelevant, it’s like accusing people of practicing Christianity when they volunteer at Catholic charities but don’t go to church or worship God. We want REAL examples about people who have been possessed practicing non- Buddhist or Hindu, more westernized Yoga. Can you provide that?

Can you reply to my comment on cardinal Ratzinger’s letter to the bishops of the world, approved by Saint Pope John Paul II that eastern meditation is dangerous?

Can you reply also about the world letter on The Dangers of New Age that was sent to all the bishops, that said yoga, black magic, the occult, druidic practices, transcedental meditation, hypnotism, the occult, do not lead to God,

Can you reply to my comment on Saint Paul saying in the bible that false gods, are demons? ‘Did you know the gods the greeks worship, are demons?’

Above is Mentioned Papal approved letters sent to the Bishops of the World, and a biblical quote.
You are just quoting your own opinion.
Papal approved documents have already spoken on this.

If the Catholic Church warns about something, do not go about trying to ‘approve’ something as harmless, that was designed not as exercise but as prayer gestures and mantras to invite a snake goddess,

Yes. The letter refers to “mediation”, not the physical poses for exercise that the OP is asking about. It has no relevance to the discussion at hand.

The OP is considering yoga for exercise, not for spiritual reasons.

Again, this is not about meditating or praying, it’s perfectly easy to do yoga without praying or meditating, certain positions have actually been beneficial for people with digestive issues. I can honestly read a book or watch TV while holding a pose. And please send me the link to where the Pope approved such a letter stating western pop yoga gets people possessed

You cannot take ‘ritual aspects and poses’ from false religions that worship other gods and use those rituals as recreation,

Proof of the matter is revealed in the fact that aetheists who use the ouijii board for ‘fun’, end up needing demonic deliverance/ exorcism.

Why?

Because a bad tree will always bear bad fruit.
Picking the prayer gestures of yoga (the Kundalini snake goddess religion), those prayer gestures were created to be prayer gestures to the demon godess Kundalini. Regardless of intent, Using sign language is still sign language, Using a ouijii board is still occult meddling, Using prayer gestures to the snake goddess Kundalini are still prayer gestures to the snake goddess kundalini,

Go to the gym instead, or zumba. Leave the snake goddess kundalini alone.

For example, this is a yoga pose:

(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

I’m sure all of us on this thread have made this pose before. It cannot invite or worship anything.
@youngcatholicguy is this one of those “poses” you are referring to? Have you ever even done Pilates? If you did you would know that they use a ton of yoga-like poses to strengthen people’s cores

I also don’t know how a person would use a oujii board for “fun” people don’t always exercise for fun, they exercise for good mental and physical health

I can also think of several (including inappropriate things ) people do on their knees. Should we say they are worshipping our God?

In this day and age there are a lot of options available to us now. Maybe at one time yoga was the only method to achieve flexibility but now there are all sorts of options. We all have to follow our consciences and decide what we are comfortable with. I have enough problems, and didn’t want another one (such as a spiritual problem or even the nagging worry that I would/could/maybe have a spiritual problem as a result from it in the future - I have enough to worry about in my spiritual life), so I decided to go the physical therapy route. In a risk/benefit analysis, that is what felt safest to me.

What do you constitute “yoga” as if a person is mainly holding positions or stretch or improve core strength without praying or mediating?

Thank you! @youngcatholicguy Buddhists do yoga too, you know that right?

Here are some recent testimonies from CAF members of this website, citing that they needed confession/ exorcism prayers after being involved with yoga/ kundalini spirit,

Has anyone on here ever recovered from 'Kundalini Awakening'? Spirituality
Has anyone on here ever recovered from ‘Kadalundi Awakening’? It’s an yogic “spirit” one receives that apparently opens them up to a higher level of consciousness and reveals one’s “true nature”, etc. etc. I’ve heard of Christians who received this and managed to exorcise it. I was wondering if any such people were on this board. I’m interested to know what you experienced and how you were able to get free from it.

Sure we can. We took the pagan title ‘Pontifex Maximus’ (‘Supreme Pontiff’) from the chief of the pagan Roman priesthood and give it to our Popes.

We took pagan trees, decorated for worship at the pagan midwinter festival of Yule, and turned them into ‘Christmas Trees’ and ‘Yule logs’.

We took pagan Roman wedding customs, most based on pagan spiritual beliefs, and incorporated them pretty much wholesale into our weddings - from the ring worn on the same finger the Romans used to do, to veils and.bridesmaids and the custom of carrying the bride over the threshold.

The universe was created by God, and everything we humans can invent, including the physical poses of yoga, can be used to His glory.

That’s an intersting thread, but I’ve been doing yoga poses for my back for years, and never experienced anytihng like that (nor do I want to). I say my prayers while I’m stretching. No exorcism required.

sigh That is a very particular type of yoga. It includes meditation and mantras, which, as you’ve been told repeatedly, western yoga does not.

Next attempt at misdirection?

The most cursory search using the terms “Kundalini yoga and ymca” yields a number of results–YMCA gyms where this form of yoga is practiced. One such, the YMCA San Diego, starts the course description with the words:
“Consolidates physical and meditative techniques through mantras, breathing, and asana.”

(italics mine)

But I guess it’s okay because those “mantras” have been “Westernized,” yes?
