Well, are you in favor of the pro-homosexual propaganda in the grade school sex education classes? This is basically sending a message that same sex marriage is just fine, IMHO.
Of course, I’m not, i.e. I’ve already said that I do not like the way education is being used to promulgate propaganda. I detest it, in fact, if and when I do have children, I will homeschool them.
I think it is a good thing that Putin has outlawed this in Russia. But in the USA, there is such propaganda on the grade school level.
OH yes, I agree…this is clear if you pay attention to court cases,judges often side with prosecution/state. I assume of homosexuals. I just want to know the official policy of the government.
One could certainly make the argument that in the USA if you are a conservative group or journalist the IRS has been sent out to shut you down. While that may not be the “policy” of the government it has happened. Our gov. is collecting phone call data, and using intimidation to silence it’s people. Hospitals are threatened to be shut down if they do not deny their faith. Before we point out Russia’s problem of collusion between judges and prosecution perhaps we should cut the gov a little slack.

Notwithstanding the issue of language, I expect most Americans would not want to live in a country like Russia because of the violence. However, one is really only safer if they have actually made it out of the womb, just saying.
You might be interested in Dmitry Orlov who was living in the US during the Soviet collapse and traveled frequently to Russia as it was collapsing. His experiences have made him an expert on collapse.
History has taught us when their is a great deal of dissent between the classes that problems are not far off. Obama is creating and expanding a poor class base at the expense of the middle and rich classes. It is only sheer stupidity to believe that this can have a good long term outcome given the facts that overly socialist systems cannot sustain themselves.

But like I said, it is easier to love Russia from a good distance.There is solid agreement that the US is among the top most violent counties in the world for many reasons.
Have you seen the Americans on FX? Holy cow! It is like the sopranos except instead of rooting for the mob you root for the russian spies. The second season is starting next month. The first was amazing! It is set in the cold war era 1980s with Reagan as Prez.
