Who are the protesters behind Occupy Wall Street–and what do they want?

It became apparent by the time early on when Guatanamo remained open that most liberals and leftists were never opponents on the wars, or the way that the wars were being waged, but were partisan Democrats opposed to Republicans only.
Any protests against the policies of Bush and the neocons ended when Democrats came to office. A whine here or a whine there, if pressed, but that is all that the left has ever been able to mount as an attack on what has amounted to basically the continuation of many of the Republican policies, both the good and the bad ones.

It is the main reason that there is no coherent message. A coherent message is impossible without attacking Obama and the Democrats.
More government spending, more government jobs for the unionists, more of the same leftist agenda, more corporatism with big government and big unions and big business scratching each others backs—this is all that these protests will ever achieve without opposing Democrats like they opposed Republicans.

By having no coherent message, the protest was usurped by Democrats before it even bega.

Morning Bell: Wall Street is the Wrong Place to Occupy

Ultimately, the protesters are expressing dissatisfaction with the direction America is heading. That dissatisfaction is shared by many Americans on the right, left, and center. America is headed in the wrong direction. But the answer is not to accelerate the present course of more government and less freedom. Instead we need to free ourselves from over intrusive government and trust the 99 percent to make their own decisions in a free marketplace.

The protesters are right to be frustrated with the state of the economy, the continued unemployment, and the lack of job creation and opportunity. But there’s a better way to solve the problem–the government should do no more harm, get out of the way, and let private, free enterprise work.

Perhaps they could provide an example of some other country that IS moving in the RIGHT direction.

Just asking.

It would be useful and helpful to know the name of a country that we can look to for leadership.
