Fraternal correction. It is my duty to care for his soul.

Right. I think that if you understand the context of the Biblical passage to not judge - it means to refrain from judging the person. We are supposed to judge actions.
We can examine any number of the Saints. Their lives are full of sinful actions, Paul, St. Augustine. But we know without a doubt that they made it to Heaven. So does that mean St. Augustine’s fornication was good? Does that mean Paul’s (Saul’s) murder sprees were good? Good Heaven’s NO!
Good people do bad things. But that doesn’t mean we have to remain silent when those people do the bad things.
Perhaps St. Monica would be a good role model for this. She most certainly did not approve of her son’s evil deeds. And I’m sure she made her disapproval clear to Augustine. But she NEVER judged her SON. She always insisted that no matter how many evil deeds he did, her son was worth saving. And a big Thank You to St. Monica!
Maybe it’s because you are judgmental.I’ve been finding myself getting hammered with accusations of being judgemental.
**1829 **The *fruits *of charity are joy, peace, and mercy; charity demands beneficence and fraternal correction; it is benevolence; it fosters reciprocity and remains disinterested and generous; it is friendship and communion: Love is itself the fulfillment of all our works. There is the goal; that is why we run: we run toward it, and once we reach it, in it we shall find rest.Maybe it’s because you are judgmental.
Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
Matthew 7: 3-5
How exactly are you condemning people?

If you feel that others lack the humility to accept your criticism, then maybe you need to have the humility to accept the criticism of others. All I’m saying is that if you are getting “hammered” with criticism (your word), then maybe there’s a reasonable basis for it. Can you give an example of what you did to get labeled “judgmental”?I’m trying to build a repetoire (sp?) on responses for the judgemental accusations.
Here is an example of Black Jaque getting hammered and accused of being judgmental. If you feel that others lack the humility to accept your criticism, then maybe you need to have the humility to accept the criticism of others. I didn’t accuse him. I only raised the possibility. He complained that he was being accused of being judgmental. If so, there are two possibilities: 1. Either he was falsely accused of being judgmental, or 2. He’s judgmental. Here is an example of Black Jaque getting hammered and accused of being judgmental.
Before such a discussion can continue. We must define terms. Please define your idea of what being judgmental is. I suspect we disagree.I didn’t accuse him. I only raised the possibility. His reaction to being called “judgmental” is to devise a way of countering the accusation. This only addresses possibility #1 above.
My post suggests that maybe he should consider possibility #2.
There is a third possibility. Maybe he’s oversensitive. If he takes it upon himself to judge others as sinners, maybe he shouldn’t be so concerned about what the sinners say back to him. After all, the central issue is the sinner and his sins. Once Black Jaque is forced to argue his own judgmentalism, the conversation has gone off course.
And about judging.3:16And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked [man] shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
3:20 Again, When a righteous [man] doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
3:21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous [man], that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
Ezekiel 3:16 - 21
But here is the verse everyone ignores.7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
7:4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam [is] in thine own eye?
Matthew 7:1 - 4
The very next verse. Read in context, it seems to me that I must make those corrections in myself, or at least be in the process of making those corrections before I can correct someone else.7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
Matthew 7:5
I have always heard “judgmental” as a pejoriative term, somebody who judges harshly or makes moral judgment based on one’s own opinion. I have not heard of anyone being complimented with the term “judgmental”.Before such a discussion can continue. We must define terms. Please define your idea of what being judgmental is. I suspect we disagree.
