…the only mention of the holy spirit is in the new testamont and Jesus says he will give us a replacement for him leaving basically, I am of course paraphraasing. no mention before and when Jesus says the holy spirit he says in the future, not the past, something that will come to replace him when he is gone.
At least you know the source of your error. Anyone who has truly read the OT knows the Holy Spirit was there. Why don’t you read the Bible before you so arrogantly try to correct others.
Here’s a history lesson from the OT for those who have also interpreted what Jesus incorrectly:
And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is,
a man in whom the Spirit of God is? (Genesis 41:38)
And I have
filled him with the spirit of God, in
wisdom, and in
understanding, and in
knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, (Exodus 31:3)
And he hath
filled him with the spirit of God, in
wisdom, in
understanding, and in
knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; (Exodus 35:31)
And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the
spirit of God came upon him. (Numbers 24:2)
And the
Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the Lord delivered Chushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushan-rishathaim. (Judges 3:10)
But the
Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abi-ezer was gathered after him. (Judges 6:34)
Then the
Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over unto the children of Ammon. (Judges 11:29)
And the
Spirit of the Lord began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol. (Judges 13:25)
And the
Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done. (Judges 14:6)
And the
Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house. (Judges 14:19)
Actually, that’s more than three witnesses, but it was fun. Oh yeah, there are lot’s more, help yourself if you still don’t believe it. Praise God for The Holy Book of Mormon, it too shows that they Holy Spirit was ALWAYS THERE!
