Tetris 99 anyone? One of the best things to come out of that direct. Pumped for Mario Maker 2 and Link’s Awakening.

I have been playing that here and there. It makes me realize how bad at Tetris I am. 😆 I think I got up to 16th or 17th place once so far. I don’t know if I’ll ever be the last player standing.

I’ve made it to 2nd place. Still chasing that win. I’ve always enjoyed Tetris. Puyo Puyo Tetris is a nice mash up of the two puzzle games but I think my favorite Tetris game has to be Tetris DS. There were some great new game modes exclusive to that game and they’re all based off of classic Nintendo IPs.

I’d like to see all the portable Zelda games redone like this as I have never played them before.
I’m hoping they re-do A Link to the Past. I get that A Link Between Worlds is technically a sort-of remake of that, but I felt that A Link Between Worlds was a lot of interesting ideas done poorly. I still had a lot of fun with it, and the moving along walls was fantastic, but letting me use almost every item from near the start of the game killed its pacing and potential for some really interesting ways to design dungeons.

Just started playing Star Wars: The Old Republic again, after a year and a half break.

Been playing a lot of Team Fortress 2 recently (hence my avatar). I’m a WM1 Pyro and have absolutely no shame for it.

I’m a bit amazed that the game has kept up its longevity. It released in the middle of a fantastic year of FPS games and right alongside Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and Portal. It standing out in all that was a bit of a feat. Considering what became of other major multiplayer FPS series like CoD and BF, it’s amazing that Valve just stuck with TF2 and kept it relevant for over eleven years now.

You can buy some of the originals in the Nintendo EShop for the Wii U. Not sure if the Switch has them available right now.

I credit the hats/cosmetics and the game’s silliness. Been playing it for two years, and somehow, the humor does not get stale to me. Things like “Pootis” or hoovies just never get old.

A lot of people say it’s a dead game, but I disagree. Picked it up two years ago and never have trouble finding a server. Granted, it’s no spring chicken, but it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

And I love the TF2 community! In forum discussions they’re very friendly and helpful (though the same cannot be said of the in-game chat, which reads like a typical conversation on 4chan).

The Switch doesn’t yet have a Virtual Console for the old games. I think I did pick up one of the old games on the Wii U (maybe Minish Cap?). It kind of throws me off that the DS games on the Wii U show a mini DS on the screen just to give you both the top and bottom screens.

anybody ever play SFV? i downloaded it from fitgirls and it can’t be played even with Run with administrator…

Unless I’m completely off, you’re talking about Street Fighter V, right? If so, is fitgirls some gaming site? A Google search only shows something completely unrelated.

Just got some tapes to work.

I admit, I was curious as I had never heard of that site either. But I was reticent to Google it for fear of what type of sites might come up when googling “fit girls”. 😲 Seeing that you were unable to find a gaming site of that name, I’m glad I didn’t Google it. 😝

OK, first, I would remove the link. There’s plenty of security and ethical concerns with torrenting. The offer to donate by cryptocurrency mining only makes things more shady.

Second, due to the fact that this was torrented, it’s hard to tell if there are any anti-piracy measures being run into. I know SFV for a time had “rootkit” DRM, and while they removed that, it is hard to tell if this version still has it or another form of DRM that SFV may have had.

Third, due to the fact that this is a modified install, it is hard to tell if the compression or decompression broke the game.

Ultimately, I’d go with a legitimate copy of the game, either on PC or on console. Getting it this way has all sorts of problems associated with it.
