But doesn’t the Bible say that we are the Temple pf God? The abomination of desolation happened in 70 A.D.
You must not hold to a 7 yr tribulation with the middle of the 7 yrs when the anti-christ desolates the temple? That is my understanding of Daniel 9.

We are but the end of human history on earth is for the nation of Israel not us.

Wait a second: doesn’t the same Bible tells us that we areIsraelites, because we are the seed of Abraham?

The middle of the 7 years is when Jesus died, because by His death the sacrifices stopped, since He was the ‘ultimate’ sacrifice. The Bible talks about something, then tells us something about something else, then it goes back to the original. for example in Daniel. It speaks of the statue and parts of the statue, and then it speaks about the beasts, which all are part of the statue. Let me explain: there is the golden head, later represented as a lion with wings. there is the torso, represented as another beats, which if I remember correctly was a bear. And so on. It gives us different perspectives of the same thing. In one place it represents the history of mankind as a statue. In another place as 4 beasts. I think you got my point. The anti-Christ doesn’t do that. It was Chrsit the ne who ended the sacrifices.

Do you really want me to tell you?

*It’s just that I have to write a lot.

EDIT: I decided to tell you, even if it may lead this thread off-topic.

There is the prophecy of the statue. 1) head: The Babylonian Empire of Nebuchadnezzar (which made more lavish use of gold than any kingdom since) was secure as the dominant world power from 605 B.C. to 538 B.C., but he was to be overthrown by a kingdom represented in Daniel 2:32 as “the breast and arms of SILVER.” This is the golden head. 2) chest: In Daniel 5:28, the next world ruling power is named, the joint empire of the Medes and the Persians. Again a fitting symbol, the two arms joined at the chest to show two kingdoms being the Medes and Persians. They ruled the world for two centuries, from 538 B.C. to 331 B.C., but they also were overthrown by a third kingdom. 3) belly and tights of bronze The third kingdom, depicted in verse 32 as the “belly and thighs of bronze,” was the Greek Empire of Alexander the Great which was taken over by his four Generals after he died. Alexander’s men in battle wore bronze - bronze swords, bronze breastplates, bronze helmets, bronze shields. Once again, God chose a fitting symbol to describe the kingdom that would rule the world from 331 B.C. to 168 B.C. 4) legs of iron: The next kingdom is represented by IRON. Daniel 2:40 says, “The fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron.” The iron monarchy of Rome was the last world kingdom, which in 168 B.C. overthrew the Greeks. Just as legs form the longest part of the body, Rome had the longest reign of any other of the world powers. For more than 500 years, half a millennium, Rome was invincible. But the Bible predicted in Daniel 2:41-43 “Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided kingdom.” History confirms that this seemingly unconquerable Roman Empire crumbled from within and without. From within wealth poured into Rome through taxes collected from all over the world and the simple Roman life was replaced with luxury and pomp. The political world brewed with corruption, crime infiltrated the streets, the work ethic was lost, sexual immorality was rampant. And as the mighty Roman Empire weakened from within, Rome was attacked from without by the barbarians and divided into ten smaller kingdoms, which are the ten toes of the foot. The ten toes are the 10 divisions of the Roman Empire as it fell apart. These were the Anglo Saxons (England), Alemanni (Germany), Heruli (x493AD), Vandals (x534AD), Ostrogoths (x538AD), Visigoths (Spain), Suevi (Portugal), Lombard’s (Italy), Burgundians (Swiss) and the Franks (France).

Are you still with me? I hope so. Now, some chapters ahead it talks about 4 beasts and you’ll see that it talks about the same as in Chapter 2 but in a different perspective, meaning that from a different point of view.

The Lion - Babylon. Wings represent conquering speed. King Nebuchadnezzar got a human heart when he finally adored the true God that made the universe. The kingdom lost it’s wings, meaning that it stopped conquering as it did in the beginning.** The Bear** - Medo-Persia. One shoulder raised above the other represents the dominance of the Medes over the Persians. The three ribs represent the three kingdoms overthrown by this kingdom - Egypt, Lydia, and Babylon. It is the same as the chest in chapter two.** The Leopard** - Greece. Four wings representing great conquering speed. Alexander the Great conquered very fast a lot of ground in about 10 years or less. The four heads represent Alexander the Great’s four generals who ruled Greece after his death – Seleucus, Ptolemy, Lysimachus and Cassander.** The different beast** - Rome. The ten horns - the divisions of Rome (same as the toes of Chapter 2) The ten horns are the 10 divisions of the Roman Empire as it fell apart. As i said previously, these were the Anglo Saxons (England), Alemanni (Germany), Heruli ( destroyed in 493AD), Vandals (destroyed in 534AD), Ostrogoths (destroyed in 538AD), Visigoths (Spain), Suevi (Portugal), Lombard’s (Italy), Burgundians (Swiss) and the Franks (France). In parenthesis there is the modern names of these barbarian tribes. Three were destroyed in the respective dates I put in parenthesis.

As you see, the Bible gave us a perspective of history trough the dream of the statue; and then later it gives us more detail of the same thing trough a different point of view or perspective. So the Bible uses this principle of repetition and enlargement. It gives us a general view of something (the statue in Chapter 2) and then it repeats if from a different point of view giving us more detail (the beasts in the next chapters).

Revelation talks about USA, so there is not need to watch for the USA in Daniel.

Someone asked about Mohammad being the last prophet, some say that this simply means he was a prophet. What must be remembered though that it is simply Mohammad saying this about himself- unlike the Holy Bible where events had multiple witnesses there are no other witnesses to the “angel” that visited Mohammad:

033.040
YUSUFALI: Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has full knowledge of all things.
PICKTHAL: Muhammad is not the father of any man among you, but he is the messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets; and Allah is ever Aware of all things.
SHAKIR: Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Last of the prophets; and Allah is cognizant of all things.

Daniel 9:

24 "Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy.
25 "Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times.
26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off (**This is where Jesus died.), **but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate **This is the abomination of desolation in the middle of the last week **(last 7 yrs of the prophecy)], Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.”

We are not Israelites. We are concidered ‘children’ of Abraham through faith not by birth.
Even so, we are Israelites, because according to God, the new covenant which God made was made only with the Israelites, God’s people. God never made any covenant with the Gentiles. We are Israelites, not of the flesh but of the spirit; but even so, we still are God’s people, the Church, the Israelites.

The muslims are not the anti-christ foretold in the bible. By using this logic you could say we(as catholics) are the anti-christ, considering we match basically every attribute stated in the bible:(

Interesting. You’re the first Catholic I ever heard admitting that.

The Catholic Church is not the anti-Christ. It is something else …unique in it’s own way but not completely unique since it, and some other ‘its’ share something in common.

I will comment no more on this.

I can’t shake the idea that the anti-Christ has already come, and he was Walt Disney.

Go to Disneyland and see the statue of him standing on Mainstreet, and you’ll see what I mean.

FMI could you please direct me to the surah?

Bless you
Dear John,

Hope this will satisfy you

"“They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but they thought they did.” (Quran 4:156) “God lifted him up to His presence. God is Almighty, All-Wise” (Quran 4:157) .

Peace and blessings,
you dont need to satisfy me i did not ask to challenge you but wanted the surah for my own information. I am grateful for your posting me.

I dont see the connection, IMO 4:156-157 is considered a reference to Yeshua (pbwh).

Bless you pray well and stay well

Verses please.
“Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the **house of Israel **and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” ~Jeremiah 31:31-34 NKJV (the bold is mine)

This new covenant was made with the house of Israel only, and not with the Gentiles. Only the Israelites are saved. The Gentiles are adopted into the family of Israel.
