who is the anti-christ?

Christ said: With “all things” come Good and Evil. Even the truth can be used to decieve.

edit to add in clarifying further.

The Context is very important. It was the first deception in the garden and continues. The lies told with the truth. The truth can even strengthen evil in this world. A little bit of truth can do alot sometime more than we bargin for. It is why the apostles sometime chose not to give it. The milk and the Meat.

Peace and Godbless

No you’re doing what everyone else does. You try to narrow everything to justify what you believe. You presume to know the extent of My understanding and you presume that I would have to post to your proof-texting…
If by “narrow everything” you mean keep my beliefs in line with what scripture teaches us, as well as what the Fathers have taught us, then yes I am narrowing down. If you mean I am committing eisegesis or worshiping a doctrine of my own making, I’m sorry but that’s just not the case.
Yes, God made a Covenant with Ishmael long before he was born. And the Lord Blessed Ishmael… It may not be as Israel but it happened.
Please show me where in scripture God made a covenant with Ishmael. Yes, the Lord blessed Ishmael, but the covenant was with Isaac, not Ishmael. I quoted scripture relevant to that.
If peoples perception or knowledge of the Christ full divinity outside the church makes one anti-Christ?. Just how far does that go. What is Exommunication? How many evils have occurred in the country you or I live in that outside and act of just or unjust war has murdered so many. I can think of a lot more things that are anti-christ that have nothing to do with muslims. I can think of many things spoken By christ that are Evil that has nothing to do with theological doctrinal beliefs.
Most perceptions outside the Church (or Christianity, for that matter) have an incorrect perception of who Christ is, which I believe John would call the spirit of the antichrist, namely an incorrect teaching that contradicts the truth.

I think here I might suggest you are confusing my condemnation of Islam with condemnation of Muslims. I love Muslims, I hate Islam. When I see a woman wearing a hijab I don’t feel anything except remorse, because I know what it was once like to follow a false belief, and now that the Lord has by His mercy helped me to return to Him, I find myself at peace.

However, I have to call something for what it is. A false belief about Christ is the spirit of the antichrist.
I suppose many think that some are in harms way. And I guess to a certain extent it can be true. But not much different than what others believe that is false and wrong. I don’t fear Muslim doctrine. That is why I’m Roman Catholic. It’s when you fear Rome that the Problems begin. Rome demands respect and humility and love not fear.
It is when you fear God that you begin to find peace. As St. Anthony the Great said, “I no longer fear God - I love Him.”

I don’t think many know how to interpret the Story of Noah.

How did all those unclean and clean animals get on that arc when no such animals had been labeled as such before the Lord commanded Israel not to eat of such things?
Timetogrow, you seem to be speaking from ‘experience’. Of which scriptural backing is sorely lacking. So, unless you can back up your ‘inspirations’ with scriptural teachings you’ll have to stick with the boundaries of the discussion.

Thanks for understanding a little more of what my intention is.
Did from day one Bro no thanks to me but thanks to Our Father and His love that binds us.
I do understand what you are saying about comparing pagans and muslims.
I really concern myself when we point the finger at just muslims we miss that in that group there are people trying to do good. We run the risk of ignoring the presence of the Anti Christ outside of that group of people, especially in the group we identify with and our own selves.
Pointing the finger at those who sin does not get me of the hook, what does get me of the hook does not make me better than those that dont accept what gets me off the hook, it makes me love them.
My hole point though is that muslims have a relgion that claims that God has told them that Jesus is not the Son of God come to save us from Heaven.
I feel Muslims and Christians get really hung up on wording here, i dont assert for a moment they do not differ in understanding.
Muslims agree Yeshua (pbwh) does not come from flesh as you and i, they see Allah in heaven giving word Yeshua (pbwh) was to be as a human in this world. Thats from heaven, they say Isa (pbuh) is the messiah. Both agree Yeshua (pbwh) was a model to us of how Allah wants us to be.

I dont know how you interoperate the bible but i see Yeshua (pbwh) aided by the Father i dont see the Father dependant on Yeshau (pbwh). We are the ones who were in need of Yeshua (pbwh). To the best of my understanding thats how a Muslim will see it.

In days of old sonship was everything without a son you were nothing, A man with many sons was blessed his legacy could continue. The Father is not like this He is eternal. Muslims might say he is above this.

Now for Christians sonship shows about inheritance and grows a richness of understanding of relationship with G-d, one could argue how many sons ie “only Son” Christians are G-ds children and go on and on…

Muslims are stubborn people the bible tells us so and so to does my experience. I cant get most muslims beyond “use the word son with Allah” and you are wrong. Whats it matter the bible teaches Christians Ishmael descendants have their own blessing, the Quran teaches ever nation gets a prophet in its own tongue. if you are not arabic its not your problem.

English speaking Christians concede the bible is not exactly the same as in Hebrew, ie job “curse” hebrew barak meaning to bless, in context saying goodbye. most of us would read curse “An appeal or prayer for evil or misfortune to befall someone” My point being if we are having trouble with the bible language difference what hope do we have with Quranic Arabic? I have only met a few native Arabic speaking Muslims so most cant interpret the Quran. Now many dont have English as a first language either. Words are messy and divide us about G-d, the tower story in the bible teaches us this. Yeshua (pbwh) has opened the heavens so we can communicate with our hearts, our hearts seek G-ds goodness in even our enemies
My hole point though is that muslims have a relgion that claims that God has told them that Jesus is not the Son of God come to save us from Heaven. They claim that God has told this to the world. For me, that teaching did indeed come froma Spirit, but that Spirit was not God speaking
Thats ok for you and is a better claim than the book of John you started with it sounds very genuine and being genuine makes me think.
I dont know how much of the Quran you have read and what prayers you made about reading it. I have done a fair bit but my Arabic is very poor and i have seen some light from it and some real confusion, the historic context is also much needed. It makes more sense to me trying to read it in the correct order. I have not yet met a Hafiz that recites in true order b4 the Saudi king changed it.

You have not spoken of you and your parish relationships with Muslims. Yeshua (pbwh) teaches we know things by its fruit as i’ve already said i know some great Muslims for best i can discern they dont look like product of the anti christ and i have met some Christians seemingly filled with hate.
do you understand that we Christians believe that Jesus died to save all people and that He is the Son of God?
yes i sure do
I hope that you believe this truth.

Hello BW,

This is the spirit in which we who claim to be Roman Catholic treat Islam.

The Popes lead we follow.

Pope John Paul VI letter to:

Dignitaries and Representatives of Islam,

How can we express Our deep satisfaction in meeting you, and Our gratitude to you, for granting Our lively desire to greet, in your persons, the great Moslem communities spread throughout Africa? You thus enable Us to manifest here Our high respect for the faith you profess, and Our hope that what we hold in common may serve to unite Christians and Moslems ever more closely, in true brotherhood.

It gives Us pleasure to salute also the Representatives of the Indian and Pakistani communities, which have found, in this country, a fraternal welcome.

In our prayers, We always remember the Peoples of Africa, for the common belief in the Almighty professed by millions of them must call down upon this Continent the graces of His Providence and Love, most of all, peace and unity among all its sons, We feel sure that, as Representatives of Islam, you join in Our prayer to the Almighty, that He grant all African believers that desire for pardon and reconciliation so often commended in the Gospels and in the Koran.

Our pilgrimage to these holy places is not for purposes of prestige or power. It is a humble and ardent prayer for peace, through the intercession of the glorious Protectors of Africa, who gave up their lives for love and for their belief. In recalling the Catholic and Anglican Martyrs, We gladly recall also those confessors of the Moslem faith who were the first to suffer death, in the year eighteen hundred and forty-eight, for refusing to transgress the precepts of their religion.

May the shining sun of peace and brotherly love rise over this land, bathed with their blood by generous sons of the Catholic, Christian and Moslem communities of Uganda, to illuminate all of Africa! And may this, Our meeting with you, respected Representatives of Islam, be the symbol of, and first step towards, that unity for which God calls us all to strive for His greater glory, for the happiness of this blessed Continent!

I know you don't listen to Pope's, And there are catholics who don't either. I can find many things about about Islam that I don't agree with, as I can find many things in the Christian community I don't agree with.

Like I said, God made a covenant with Noah and His descendents. Our New Pope reminds the Muslim community of their heritage with Abraham. The covenant with Israel is about the redemption of those who have fallen. The Line to bring the redemtive seed. Who the Lord commanded from the beginning, The son of Man.

The Lord hadn't commanded Ishmael. Sin is transgression of the Law and it came from hearing the Lord. The Lord commands. Was the rest of the world sinning because he commanded Israel not eat and do certain things? Not against the Lord they hadn't. The Lord is our God.
Peace and Godbless

Sounds Like your Bloggers have concerns for the repercussions of what some in the west have done.

Sounds like, looks like…you think too much…and no, whether you get burned or not depends on how you throw it and how localised or not the fire is.

But well at least I know now why you call yourself Timetogrow.

You should keep it up. But don’t take too much time though. Most of us have already grown quite a bit.

Hello BW,

This is the spirit in which we who claim to be Roman Catholic treat Islam.

The Popes lead we follow.

Pope John Paul VI letter to…
Code:
I know you don't listen to Pope's, And there are catholics who don't either.
I would not say that we “do not listen to popes,” however we do not believe everything said by a pope is infallible, and I think sensible Catholics who really understand the doctrine of papal infallibility do as well. Just because the pope says something does not mean it is as canon as the Bible.

Indeed, men can be in error, and so is Pope John Paul VI when he says Muslims and Christians share “the common belief in the Almighty,” and that “Representatives of Islam” join with Christians “in Our prayer to the Almighty.” Is the pope aware that the God Muslims pray to five times a day calls the Trinity a heresy, says his church is corrupt and has tarnished scripture, and that the one whom the pope claims to have received the keys from was nothing more than a prophet with no divinity whatsoever? Does he realize that Muslims throughout the ages - and even today - persecuted Christians and martyred them because they saw their belief as damnable heresy? Is the pope aware that this God Muslims pray to, which he claims is the same God Catholics pray to, is a God that stated in His holy book that every belief upheld by Christians destined them for hell?

Again, none of this can be true. Christ once said we cannot serve two masters - well how about two servants who claim to serve the same master, but their ideas of who he is are wildly different than the other. To say Muslims and Christians believe the same thing is to fall for the post-modern belief that leads to the heresy of universalism.
I can find many things about about Islam that I don’t agree with, as I can find many things in the Christian community I don’t agree with.
That is neither here nor there. However, a Baptist, Methodist, Catholic and Orthodox all believe the same thing regarding the Incarnation and Divinity of Christ, and Muslims do not - they therefore fall into the same error St. John spoke of with the Gnostics.
Like I said, God made a covenant with Noah and His descendents.
OK. Where’s the covenant with Ishmael?
Our New Pope reminds the Muslim community of their heritage with Abraham. The covenant with Israel is about the redemption of those who have fallen. The Line to bring the redemtive seed. Who the Lord commanded from the beginning, The son of Man.
Yes, but Muslims deny all that. To them, Ishmael and Isaac are one and the same prophets. There was no great covenant with Abraham and Isaac other than the simplified Muslim idea of a covenant, which is really nothing more than an obligation to worship, therefore isolating Islamic theology from the Judeo-Christian concept of what a covenant is.

Peace and blessings Bro Flame,
Well I can tell that you do not consider yourself a christian in the way that we do.
I dont really know in what way you consider me a Christian so could not comment. I am also unsure who the “we” is that is considering me.
I am a little different, i oft jest i would have never come here if it was not for Vatican II if thats what you see.
With that said, I am not quite sure what you beleive about Jesus.
I am not sure that what i believe is more important than the love it brings through me. If i was to try and condense it my earlier post maybe says a lot in few words.
what does get me of the hook does not make me better than those that dont accept what gets me off the hook, it makes me love them
you may have been more comfortable if i said Who and not what, he not it, i used what because he is the way for me. I feel many shallow understanding by seeing him as a name and narrations more than the way for those who answer that call.
What I want to share with you is that Christ died ofr our sins and not only ours but those of the whole world.
My quote above could have shown you this posts ago. One could debate if it is for the whole world or we could say few. I dont doubt many are called. I dont see Yeshua (pbwh) as doing anything in vain or for no purpose, so if it were for the whole world than the whole world will be saved. I dont take Vatican II that far, some Catholics do. But i would be more comfortable with the offer being available to all but the sacrifice is only for those accepting it.
What you say in it is for the whole world is nice and not for me to argue with, provided it is a love statement and not a repeated teaching statement.
There is no one who has ever lived here on earth like Him.
Yes there is YOU and you are more like him every day if you choose. But i understand what you offer i do not know of any who are as him.
Jesus is both humanand divine. He is the second person of the Blessed Trinity.
Trinity is a very complex understanding or more likely teaching, I have spent many years learning of different peoples understanding and non understanding.

From my previous post i hope you were able to separate my understanding of other people beliefs form what little if any i offered of my faith. My faith is useless to you as is yours to me, the love it brings is where The Holy Spirit works change.

Religion seems to be a thing where we find what makes us different, my eye sees Yeshua (pbwh) as encouraging love regardless of religion, ie using Samaritans, various Jewish sects in parables and even letting a Gentile get some scraps.

In my conversation with you i have only tried to encourage you to pray about careful use of scripture, looking at every person as an individual, and seeing the Anti -Christ is very big and lurks in lots of places so you dont overlook him and love him standing against his untruth.

I pray these things help keep you from harm, grow in love, stand strong against hate and make that flame your name has light the path of others.

I will be who I will be, you have free will so choose who you see

Steven John, I am glad to see that love is so central in what you believe. It was so also in our Lord Jesus Christ and what He came to bring. What I found is that as a christian, I have access to the love of God unlike any other person on earth, namely that the greatest love: Jesus laying down His life for us and as a catholic, I have an even greater access to Him by faith in His real presence in the eucharist. I encourage you to look into this because it may just be that God our Loving Father is drawing you to Jesus in this way.

What is it you see this will do for me that is not being done?

Good advice has good foundation.

By Your words you see me loving and attest Yeshua (pbwh) you see as loving?

Peace and light, for us that we may see

Its enlightening to see that some people are learning to love the anti-christ. I wonder if their love transcends the great divide between heaven and hell such that their love could bridge even what God cannot bridge.

the eucharist is the way taht God has designed for us to receive Jesus into our hearts. I wish I could totally describe to you what this would do for you, but suffice to say: You would be receiving Jesus not only spiritually but also physically into your very being.

Wow…The sarcasm is palpable.

-------To All-------

“For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Yeshua Messiah as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.” 2 John 1:7

and also:

“and every spirit that does not confess Yeshua is from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.” 1 John 4:3

So my 1st Question: Isn’t stating “Jesus is ‘God, the Son’” in fact denying that “Yeshua is the Messiah, who came in the flesh”?

—To Flame of Christ—

1 Peter 3:18 - Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.

Romans 6:9-10"Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin ONCE: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God."

Hebrews 7:24-27 - “But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did ONCE, when he offered up himself.”

Hebres 9:24-26, 28 - “For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with ands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: **but now ONCE in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself **. . . So Christ was ONCE offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

Question: If the eucharist is the way that God designed for Christ to be in our hearts, what happens after one’s taken it already? If Christ is in our heart after eucharist, what happens which requires us to need the eucharist over and over again?

Thank you for these quotes but how are they relevant to the Eucharist. The Eucharist is the ‘living bread from Heaven’ The Manna that the Israelites ate in the desert is symbolic to the Eucharist. In the Eucharist all those partaking are sharing in the Paschal Mystery of Christ; we receive Him Body and Blood. Yes, He died once but His memory and His suffering is shared with all participants throughout time. “Do this in memory of me”

John 6:35 And Jesus said to them: “I am the bread of life. He that comes to me shall not hunger, and he that believes in me shall never thirst.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.”
53 Then Jesus said to them: "Amen, amen, I say unto you: unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. 54 He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood has everlasting life, and I will raise him up in the last day.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father,
Who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name,
Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven,
Give us this day our daily bread

This is just some food for thought. God Bless:)

Hebres 9:24-26, 28 - “For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with ands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now ONCE in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself . .

The early church received the eucharist each Sunday, on the Lord’s day. So already there was the belief that we should receive Him often.

St. Paul says it very clearly that taking the Lord’s Body and blood without faith that it truly is the Body and Blood of the Lord is a great sin, even one that can condemn those who receive. that is in 1 Cor 11:27. to understand it even better, read it in it’s full context and you will see that St. Paul is talking about faith in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ’s Body and Blood.

I wish I could totally describe to you what this would do for you, but suffice to say: You would be receiving Jesus not only spiritually but also physically into your very being.
I understand this but from my posts what would change in me, how would i love different?

How many more times per week would i need to receive him this way for the change to be apparent to you?

I understand you cant explain what it does for you as i cant explain what He does in me.

To offer what you do there must be specific simple quotes from my posts that have guided you to this or does a spirit inspire you i need this.

Does the spirit inspire you look he has no gifts, surely if you discerned any glimmer of any gifts of The Holy Spirit you would tell the one inspiring you to be gone.

You have not asked me to explain further from posts here but have implied there is something missing or defective.

With a humble heart are you seeking His light from me or trying to find some thing bad to justify the light being shone on you.

I dont meant this nasty but lovingly given you have not offered reason to your “encouragement”

Bless ya Bro, pray well and stay well

This is my personal opinion
Lack of faith, the quote you make show it is not needed all the time.
People fall away over and over again, you are right with pure faith this will not happen.
The bible shows the backsliding happens over and over.

Catholics first thing in mass confess they have again fallen, Yeshua (pbwh) reached out to Jews and Gentiles on Passover offering himself for the chosen.

Fallen people do have faith that is they can always turn again to what was offered for them. Were they not given this faith the kingdom here would have no builders.

The Father that allowed men to commit injustice has mercy greater that all injustice if it were not so He would not allow any injustice.

A basic of Qubalah as is the reason for allowing injustice.
