that’s what drive me crazy httpwww.youtube.comwatchv=NGinvU_b_ug
🤷
You need to reflect on your motives if you believe you can understand God by watching youtube. Go for a Mass or talk to a Catholic priest or go for RCIA; you can also pray for some guidance.

May the One Merciful God slow to anger abounding in Mercy show you the way.

Nothing I said puts any distance between me and Catholicism.
There’s a couple of big bear hugs waiting for you when you finally decide to return home. One from Jesus and another from me.

It is intresting to note every time the Angel Gabriel appeared he frightened everyone except Mary who was frightened by what Gabriel said not by his presence.
hahaha, have you ever seen the movie “the prophecy” with Christopher Walken, it’s pretty good, At some point during the film the main Character said something along the lines of " would ever truley want to meet an angel, an existence praiseing God but with one wing always dipped in blood". A bit off topic, but your comment just automatically made me think of that movie.

Muhammad was a man that did one good thing for Arabia, and one bad thing.

The good: He united them under a single faith of monotheism, ended the constant warring between tribes, and united pretty much everyone under the banner of a single creed. (There was still warring, but not on the basic tribal level)

The bad: He closed them off from accepting Christianity completely. Since the Arab pagans had nothing against Christians in particular, they would have been more accepting than a member of a faith that believes his religion to be a successor to Christianity. Why would you go back to the old when it is corrupt?

You can get into petty debates about silly stuff like how old his youngest wife is (she was actually between 17 and 20 - not 6 and 9), but is that really relevant?

Cite your source for the above quote please. Which part of Islam believes in this…???

Evidence of age nine at consummation

These traditions are from the hadith collections of Bukhari (d. 870) and Muslim b. al-Hajjaj (d. 875). These two collections are regarded as the most authentic by Sunni Muslims.
Code:
Sahih Muslim Book 008, Number 3310: 'Aisha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house when I was nine years old.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 88 Narrated 'Urwa: The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with 'Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).

Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64 Narrated 'Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).

Sahih Bukhari 8:151, Narrated 'Aisha: "I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah's Apostle used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for 'Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fateh-al-Bari page 143, Vol.13)

Sahih Bukhari vol. 5, Book 58, Number 234 Narrated 'Aisha: The prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six. We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Harith Kharzraj. Then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became all right, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, "Best wishes and Allah's blessing and a good luck." Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage).

To Christians, Mohammed is the founder of a religion which borrows elements from Christianity, Judaism, and the paganism of the Arabian desert. He can be said to be foretold in Scripture, as he is an example of the false teachers warned about by the Apostles who would come in the future and pervert the true religion founded by the Lord Jesus. Some Muslims apply Christ’s prophecies about the coming of the Holy Spirit to Mohammed but any Christian with a rudimentary knowledge of Scripture can see through this ruse.

This is true also. 👍

Mohammed is not a prophet, Great or otherwise.

Jesus Christ is the one, true Lord and God of all and St. John the Baptist is His prophet. There is no other god and there is no other prophet greater than the prophet of the Most High, St. John the Baptist.

In addition to this, Muslims may not be aware that Mohammed borrowed some stories of Jesus from heretical Christians, for example: there is a section in the Quran that talks about Jesus forming birds from clay which was taken from the infancy narrative from the gospel of Thomas which the Church has deemed heretical.

When Allah will say: O Jesus, son of Mary, remember My favour to thee and to thy mother, when I strengthened thee with the Holy Spirit; thou spokest to people in the cradle and in old age, and when I taught thee the Book and the Wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel, and when thou didst determine out of clay a thing like the form of a bird by My permission, then thou didst breathe into it and it became a bird by My permission; and thou didst heal the blind and the leprous by My permission; and when thou didst raise the dead by My permission; and when I withheld the Children of Israel from thee when thou camest to them with clear arguments – but those of them who disbelieved said: This is nothing but clear enchantment – Quran 5:110

1. “And when the Lord Jesus was seven years of age, he was on a certain day with other boys his companions about the same age. 2. Who at play made clay into several shapes, namely, asses, oxen, birds, and other figures. 3. Each boasting of his work and endeavoring to exceed the rest. 4. Then the Lord Jesus said to the boys, I will command these figures which I have made to walk. 5. And immediately they moved, and when he commanded them to return, they returned. 6. He had also made the figures of birds and sparrows, which, when he commanded to fly, did fly, and when he commanded to stand still, did stand still; and if he gave them meat and drink, they did eat and drink. 7. When at length the boys went away and related these things to their parents, their fathers said to them, Take heed, children, for the future, of his company, for he is a sorcerer; shun and avoid him, and from now on never play with him.” – Infancy narrative gospel of Thomas, chapter 15

Muslim apologists like Ahmed Deedat claim Mohammed is not the antichrist because he confesses that Jesus is the Christ. However Muslims seem to miss this verse from the bible:

Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. – 1 John 2:22

God bless,

God bless,
I thought some Muslims believe Mohamed is the Holy Spirit. What is the Holy Spirit to Muslims now?

MJ

where you got that idea from!!! there is no such thing in any Islamic reference!!!
I think he means that Muslims see Mohammed as the “Helper” that Jesus promised, yet that Helper is the Holy Spirit as stated. I guess that’s the connection the post meant.

Thanks for the clarification…

However, I wonder why this double edge by some Islamic clerics, they say based on the Quranic claim that the Bible is corrupted yet they pick some verses from it to claim Muhammed’s prophecy!!!🤷

It’s either corrupted or authentic, if it’s corrupted then no one should take anything from it, and if it’s authentic then Quran is invalid.

Correct. The “logic” they use though is this: “If something in the Bible is confirmed in the Koran, then that part of the Bible is true. If not, it’s false.” Problem with that is that it is a begging-the-question and that we can make that claim for the Bible just as well.

While I thank CutlerB for making sense out my comment:o, you are quite right here Sam777. I told this to my Muslim friend, why would these clerics use this kind of tactic which is frankly quite undignified.

What is worse is my friend believes it! ; ie he tells me that the Holy Spirit is Mohammed:eek:

Now, perhaps you can answer the 2nd point;what is the Holy Spirit to Muslims? Did Mohammed ever clarify it?
