"Gabriel", that is mentioned in the Quran commentaries.what is the Holy Spirit to Muslims? Did Mohammed ever clarify it?

So the Quranic verse 5:110 which states “When Allah will say: O Jesus, son of Mary, remember My favour to thee and to thy mother, when I strengthened thee with the Holy Spirit”, is Gabriel?"Gabriel", that is mentioned in the Quran commentaries.
""Eight days later, when the baby was circumcised, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel even before he was conceived. luke/2-21Mohammed is not a prophet, Great or otherwise.
Jesus Christ is the one, true Lord and God of all and St. John the Baptist is His prophet. There is no other god and there is no other prophet greater than the prophet of the Most High, St. John the Baptist.
Ya darn skippy!""Eight days later, when the baby was circumcised, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel even before he was conceived. luke/2-21

I totally agree! However in defence, Muslims claim they have an unbroken chain of narration confirming the authenticity of the Quran.Correct. The “logic” they use though is this: “If something in the Bible is confirmed in the Koran, then that part of the Bible is true. If not, it’s false.” Problem with that is that it is a begging-the-question and that we can make that claim for the Bible just as well.
I would wager that this has Deedat written all over it…nothing to see here…move along…move alongI totally agree! However in defence, Muslims claim they have an unbroken chain of narration confirming the authenticity of the Quran.
In order to prove the Bible has been fabricated they usually throw the following at us:
God bless,
- The added ending of Mark chapter 16
- The controversy of John 3:16, the word “begotten” in not found among many of the important manuscripts, thus it’s an interpolation.
- The differences in the Septuagint and Masoretic texts regarding key verses such as Isaiah 7:14, Psalms 40:6 etc.
You are correct. I’ve debated Muslims in an Islamic forum…Deedat is flooded all over this forum.I would wager that this has Deedat written all over it…nothing to see here…move along…move along

Don’t Matthew 28 Luke 24 and John 20 and 21 corroborate the main points of Mark 16? Also Acts 2 for instance and it goes on…You are correct. I’ve debated Muslims in an Islamic forum…Deedat is flooded all over this forum.
I am curious to know how we defend ourselves against the accusation of the “added” ending to Mark chapter 16; any thoughts?
God bless,

Now , not being a scholar myself, you may wonder where I got this knowledge...well, it is from a college level book called... A History of the Arab Peoples, written well respected researcher Albert Hourani... He is well respected in both the Western and Arab worlds. He did alot of his research at the University of Cairo. So it seems that some peoples opinion that ISLAM could be called a CULT and Mohammed called a false prophet can be substantiated. This is my opinion, and as an American , protected under the First Amendment, that is what I think. However, I will not disrepect those Muslims that believe their religion is good.
Thanks folks.. very good question, and lots of good answers and opinions..GOD BLESS All..
Allah.Does anyone know what Arabic-speaking Christians call God?
Tradition is too much of a stronger word. Islam takes some of the truths of Judaism and Christianity and calls itself the fulfillment. Anything that is not agreeable is left out and anything that has a remnant of relevancy is given the revisionist treatment.. So why don’t we talk about a “Christian Muslim Tradition”?
Not on a par with Muhammad but second to him.In any case, Islam apparently declares Jesus to be a “prophet” on a par with Mohammed.
First of all, 'rah. The politicians, particularly the so-called “conservatives”, who want both the “evangelical” Christian vote and the Jewish vote talk about a Judaeo Christian “tradition”. In any case, Islam apparently declares Jesus to be a “prophet” on a par with Mohammed.
