Really. Are they sure? The Bible says to hold onto written AND oral tradtion and that the Church NOT the Bible is pillar and foundation of truth and that if you are having a disagreement don’t tell the Bible but tell the Church.

It would be simply arrogant to think that God would appoint but a mere man to build his Church and not Jesus Christ himself to oversee it.
Sadly, it is the biggest lie to keep Catholics in bondage to a false religion system that cannot save them.
I was a born and raised Catholic and I thank God he opened my eyes to the simple truth of his salvation years ago.
God’s passion for His own glory is precisely what you find in** Isaiah, chapter 42**. The chapter begins by providing us with the job description of the promised Messiah and, in verse 8, we are given God’s purpose statement, “I am the Lord, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, nor My praise to graven images.” It is in this verse that we learn that God’s purpose for sending His Son is intimately related to His concern for His glory.
Exodus 20:4-5 says, “You shall not make for yourself an** idol **in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God…” Notice that God is jealous when someone gives to another something that rightly belongs to Him.
That means no glory or worship to anyone, anything…outside of GOD including Mary, the Pope or any dead saints.
**So do you follow Gods words or the Traditions of man? **
Mark 7 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. 10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: 11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. 12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; 13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

The bible is a book, compiled by the Catholic Church in the 4th century so as to have a universal canon within the community as every Church was using a different collection of books, some of them heretical. Nothing more, nothing less. It is on purpose that more specific mentions of the Papacy, Marion devotion (which wouldn’t be there anyways because Mary was STILL ALIVE during most of the New Testament writing period), and Saintly intercession are not found in the Bible…those werent’ supposed to be there, they were already recognized and practiced by the Church Universally. The Bible was meant to compliment the already-existing Traditions of the Church instituted by Jesus and continued by the Apostles and Bishops. This is what is meant by Catholics who say we have both Tradition and the Scripture, they are supposed to compliment one another. If you cannot (or WILL NOT) study and apply history, then we cannot help you. We are here if you have more questions.

God inspired it and instructed it be written…BELEIVING in it requires not questioning it…the Bible’s (God written word) as the authority. It requires** FAITH**…
If one has to seek proof, they have NO faith at all.
It’s** not **faith + works+ sacraments+ the RCC church that SAVES YOU.
It’s remains faith ALONE in Christ period…in his inspired Word.

Jesus sits on the right hand of the father and is not ordered down by ANYONE to be re-sacrificed on any altar like a slain lamb as they did in the old testmament.

For one thing GOD does not obey or take orders from a PRIEST…a mere man…Since when can a priest TRUMP Jesus!!! I think the Vatican has it backwards!!! How pompous to even make such a statement. It’s no wonder they rank the POPE as the Vicar of Christ and have him sitting on a gold throne if the RCC gives their PRIESTS this much power?? Jesus himself was HUMBLE here on earth and even his “disciples” were so as well and did not sit on THRONES calling attention to themselves!! There is NO other religion that claims to be Christian that does this or has a goverment no less.

I think its made very clear. In fact the belief that Jesus is in the host (his whole diety) and the wine was (his actual blood) didn’t happen UNTIL 1215 A.D!! (transubstantiation) The belief of Purguatory was also only elevated in 1438 AD to a dogma. And much more.

How do you know that there should be 66 books in the Bible and not 73?
My faith says 73. Your’s says 66 - who’s right and why do they get to decide?
