Who is Your Favorite EWTN Priest?

It’s a tough one, but I will have to go with 🙂 Fr. Anthony Mary, MFVA. He is Smart, has a big heart, and is a man who can take complicated theological messages and make them funny, heartfelt and exciting.
He is such a ROCK STAR for Jesus!!

I think any priest that appears regularly on EWTN should be an EWTN priest. They are all special in their own way. God Bless them ALL. I have learned soooo much from them and still learning.
 
Would like to meet Father Anthony but I am afraid that will be impossible as I am housebound due to lung cancer surgery and am also 82 years old . My wife and I both attend your TV masses with the permission of our Priest Father Watson at Saint Thomas church Peoria Heights Illinois

I agree. I don’t always listen to the homilies because I go to daily mass but I will go out of my way to listen to Fr Anthony. He is genuine and has a dry humor that I love.
 
Not to hijack this thread (MUCH!)… is anyone else getting tired of GOOD things being likened to rock stars? 😃

Yes, and I don’t think they would be happy about being likened to rock stars either. Grow up please.

Has anyone heard anything about Fr, Corapi?? I have heard he has cancer and is in the Mayo Clinic. Possibly pancreatic Cancer. God Bless him.

I subscribed to Weekly Wisdom with Father Corapi, the last I heard was that he had a tumor on his parathyroid gland and was undergoing tests to see if it could be removed or if it was benign/ malignant. I can’t post the video unfortunately, because it is by subscription only. Also, he had said that they had ruled out all different types of cancer…so I pray that the info you had on pancreatic cancer was not correct.
 
I agree. I don’t like our priests being likened to “rock stars”. But I think that’s maybe just the way our young people describe them.:confused: On another note, I am praying very hard for Fr. Corapi’s health. He is a kind, loving priest. God bless you, Father.
 
I like Fr. Groechel and I noticed on a past show, a brother from Life on the Rock, Richard Sukop (reddish beard and mustache) came to his order and is working with him at his retreat house. I’m glad he wasn’t “lost” and found another good home. : )
I get nervous when faces leave, but I’m glad he just felt pulled to another area. From what I can see in person and on TV (live near NY) they are a truely devout and holy order. I pray for many more of them,

I wish someone would keep us updated on him as we are all concerned and praying for him. He is a wonderful priest and we need him sooo much.
 
He was on the phone on Life on the Rock…said he doing okay, God’s plans aren’t always ours, but hanging in there. I think the worst part is not really knowing what or where it is. He can’t feel better per se, unless they can treat it. I know he is at a good medical facility but maybe a second opinion woudln’t hurt. :confused:
 
Did Fr. Corapi, himself, say that they do not know where the tumor is and so can’t treat it? I am praying very hard for him. God bless you and take care of you, Father!
 
If you find that episode, about 2 wks ago, a few minutes into the show on ewtn site (I’ll check later and post if I get it) he did say they looked and didn’t find it, but they think it is there. Working in the medical field, I just think 2nd opinions are good, but I don’t know what insurance, etc. he has.

Fr. Corapi was interviewed by phone on May 15 on EWTN at the beginning of Life on the Rock. It’s so nice to hear his voice. You can watch the archived video up to May 22 at the following link. After that, you can search for the same program in their audio archive.

I voted for Fr Corapi but the rest of them are great as well!
~Fr Corapi is so straight forward and hard hitting-I’m thick headed, I need that!
~Fr Mitch is so interesting and full of knowledge-he helps me understand my faith
~Fr Groeschel is so wise and gentle-he reminds me to think of others
~Fr Anthony is so practical and real-he helps me apply teachings to my everyday life
~Fr Mark is so humble and courageous-he encourages me to get out there and do something for God even though the very thought of that gives me heart palpitations!:eek:

Fr Meneses (sp?) is wonderful too! And Fr Levis, and Fr Trugilio, and Fr Rutler! Thank you EWTN!
 
He’s gone, but there will be others to take his place and the show seems to be surviving without him. I admire Fr. Mark a lot, they are a young order, a men come and go, but if they are meant to be, they will stay. The media part of it has to fit with your charism, it is a different type of order that way.
