He’s gone, but there will be others to take his place and the show seems to be surviving without him. I admire Fr. Mark a lot, they are a young order, a men come and go, but if they are meant to be, they will stay. The media part of it has to fit with your charism, it is a different type of order that way.

Here is a better link to Fr. C’s talk on LOTR. It’s the 05/15/08 day.
ewtn.com/vondemand/audio/seriessearchprog.asp?seriesID=-6892323&T1=life+on+the+rock
Please, what did he say???

I’ll try to write it when I have more time, but he pretty much said, he was trying to go with God’s will, he is being tested in a way, saying things is one thing, living them is another. He sounded ot me, a bit down (although trying to be a bit peppy on the phone)
If you hit on the link in my last post, go to the 05/15/08 show, hit “listen now” about 2 minutes into the show, he starts to talk to Fr. Mark and guest for about 3-4 minutes.
If your computer is having trouble, I’ll try to write exactly what he said later.

Yes, and I don’t think they would be happy about being likened to rock stars either. Grow up please.

Has anyone heard anything about Fr, Corapi?? I have heard he has cancer and is in the Mayo Clinic. Possibly pancreatic Cancer. God Bless him.
He called in to Life on the4 Rock two weeks ago and said he does not have cancer. The doctors don’t know what it is. He said it might be a non-malignant parathyroid tumor which in itself is benighn but the secondary effects are not good.

The two priests from Peru who celebrate such a reverent OF Mass in Latin. They have celebrated the Mass several times over the last year.

I, too, tried to listen to the 5/15 Life on the Rock, but my laptop couldn’t play it. 😃

There is no way to choose, I love them all for different reasons, and many others who appear on EWTN not only to say Mass but various other shows and guests. I thank God for all of His holy men (and to me, they are all His holy men!!)

I agree! They are all great priests - each one has his own special gift/talent for presenting the Gospel.

Were you trying to listen to just the audio portion or were you trying to download the show? I am able to just hit the listening section okay but you might need “real player” or something like that to listen to it. Do you have that downloaded on your laptop?

I do not have “real player”. I think that’s the problem. Thanks.

I am blessed by all the Priests on EWTN. 👍
But I find myself listening to Fr Mitch more than the other so I must to admit he’s one of my favorites.

Fr Straub - I could listen to this priest all day and night. I love him.

Fr Corapi - this priest tells it straight - I love listening to him and have been challenged to reflect and change by him directly.

Fr Groeshal - I have to turn off when he’s on - sorry - can’t stand this priest. No disrespect intended to a man of God - it’s just a fact. Sorry.

Could have left that comment about Ft. Groeshel out of your post. He is one of the kindest, most interesting priest I’ve ever known.

Remember, If you can’t say something good. better to not say anything. I would hate to know he saw your post. He doesn’t watch tv so maybe he never get on this forum either. I hope not.

The friars don’t have TV’s or computers, someone does their website, but they don’t have them in the community.

I like him, some I don’t, but like you said, “different strokes for different folks” and I he is a very good priest. What they do, I couldn’t. They live like the poor, with the poor, they have nothing, sleep on the floor, eat food dontated to them, wear the same robes until they wear out…I’m way too spoiled, but I admire that greatly.

I acknowledged him as a man of God. I specifically said I intended no disrespect.

He is one of the most interesting priests YOU have ever known. Good for you. I have a much different opinion than you.

I am not required to agree with you to be a good christian. I am not required to have to ‘‘like’’ everyone to be a good christian.

I am not required to be afraid to express an opinion that is different to you to be a good christian.

I have to be charitable - which I believe I was. Im also not pretending or lying. Im being honest. When Fr. Groeshal comes on ETWN I switch over. Fact. Nothing uncharitable in that. Just a fact. I can’t stand the guy.

God bless him, and God bless you.

No your not required to like everyone, your required to love everyone.

I was not trying to be hateful to you, just would hate for him to see your post and thought you could have kept that part to yourself.

God Bless You, too

Anyone know the current status on Fr. Corapi’s health? I love this priest!

Blessings,

I can’t really decide between Frs Corapi and Groeshal so I voted for Fr Corapi.

I think Fr. Mitch is the best homilist of the group. I have only seen Fr. Corapi’s lectures but I have never seen him say Mass on EWTN.

Fr. Anthony Mary has this gentle way about him. He would probably be an amazing pastor if he were parish priest.

Not mentioned in the list is Fr. Trigilio. I have watched him celebrate the Daily Mass on EWTN on occasion. I really love how he sings the words of Christ in the consecration. It is really unique. He says the narrative parts but he chants the words of Christ. It really draws the attention to words of our Lord.

I know what happened to Fr. Augustin Mary, Fr. John Mary and Fr. Francis Mary.

However, one who disappeared and I have never heard anyone ask about him was Deacon Brother Pius Mary. He disappeared around the same time that Fr. John Mary left. What became of him?

PacoG,

I really liked Deacon Brother Pius Mary. He had a difficult last name, like Zewczyk (sp?) or something like that. I once asked on one of the EWTN forums about his whereabouts, and got an evasive answer, but I believe they said that he returned home to somewhere like Michigan or Wisconsin. I would have loved to have seen him be ordained with the MFVAs!

I sincerely hope that he continued his vocation to the priesthood, wherever he may be.
