Who is Your Favorite EWTN Priest?

I really enjoy Fr. Leo Clifford’s series Reflections. They have them on the Faith page on their website, and every afternoon on TV. I often cry a little watching them, not ashamed to admit. They’re so short, but they pack in so much wisdom. A good reminder during tough times that God loves us to an extent we can’t understand. I first found the show when I became interested in the Church.

Yup…that’s him on EWTN live. Thanks for the link. I overlooked the fact that he is a Deacon. But I was impressed on his ability as a speaker. I love his comparison of how we are like the child who hears a melody in his mind but can’t play it. We remain frustrated because we don’t know how to express ourselves until we recover our freedom. And we do that by anchoring into God who in turn reveals the truth about who we are. We do this through our relationship with Jesus! Oh, how I yearn for more homilies like that…

We are sooo Blessed to have so many wonderful Priest and Deacons as well as the other speakers on EWTN. I am sooo thankful to God for EWTN and Catholic Answers. They are sooo needed especially in our present times of crisis. God Bless them all, Prayers for them all. Memaw

Concerning Father Leonard, I kind of root for him because he is from East L. A. , a place I’m very familiar with and enjoy visiting. His homilies are improving everyday. I don’t think it’s the message but the delivery that is a problem. Most people would be a little nervous not only having to deliver the homilies mostly with scarce notes but to millions via television and radio.

Father Wade and Father Mitch are great teachers although I believe Father Wade gets too caught up on lists

Unfortunately, Father Leonard’s delivery is not yet improving. His stammering “and-and-and” distracts me from his message. I find it hard to listen to Father Leonard for this reason. It seems that EWTN should work with him to help him improve his delivery. I would rather see Father Miguel more often.

Fathers Anthony, Joseph, and Mark are wonderful speakers. Their deliveries are very at ease and personal, as if they are speaking to a small group. Father Patrick seems to have developed this same smooth style quickly. His ad lib quip about the loud fire alarm was a good example.

On a different topic, it is impossible to miss Brother Leo’s twitching, which seems to be getting worse. Does anyone know what is wrong? I want to pray for him.
