There’s no undead in any of those. I’d also recommend Gosick, Toradora, Tsuritama, Space Brothers, Ano Natsu de Matteru, and Working/Wagnaria.Anything else? if it has something to do with the undead, i may have to scrutinize it further.
None of these have undead, and all are pretty light on the fanservice (except Ano Natsu, which is moderate, but nothing too bad or unusual).
I wasn’t referring to the nudity. I’m willing to accept most bath scenes, and nudity just doesn’t really both me in general (as long as it’s not excessive). I understand very well the Japanese viewpoint on nudity, sex, etc. I was referring to the fact that so many relationships between two girls or two guys have some sort of sexual/romantic undertone. Though I do approve of the fact that most of these feelings are viewed as something that is not desired.I disagree with anime sexualizing relationships. Remember, the japanese view nudity in a much diffirent way than us so them showing two girls bathing in the same bath together is utterly normal and not sexual at all. Even Hayate did it without the useof fanservice in a filler episode. Madokaand a certain other girl’s relationship is mixed by some dumb airheads to be lesbian because they are seen ‘naked’ together in the final episode when in reality, if you have finished Puella Magi, that scene is as sexual as the painting of God giving life to Adam that is found on the sistine chapel ceiling. I mean, really.
Sometimes some anime do pander to this base like that scene from Death Note where L washed Light’s feet. The scene before already established the true color of their relationship, no need to show us THAT. Also, I never viewed Shinji and Kaworu’s relationship as homosexual. I mean, for two people of the same sex to bathe together is utterly normal in Japan and I like how the Japanese are so innocent to not view that as wrong. Hell, not even in the Catholic middle ages did people view nudity as overtly sexual. However, to have one of them touch your hand while bathing might screep anyone out (especially if that someone is one hell of a jackass tiger and your name happens to be Hayate. Love all the Evangleion shout outs in Hayate by the way). They never showed sexual desirefor each other and Kaworu’s ‘gayness’ has more to do wit the fact that he has no grasp of human norms. So really, the anime treated homosexuality as strange and not something that is so acceptable, well, except in Maya’s crush towards Ritsuko yet despite that, I like Maya and it was only made explicit in End of Evangelion.
Point is, this sexual rubbish is only in the eyes of the beholder. Not to say that you’re like them ironchapman, far from it but you shouldn’t beleive everything they tell you on websites like TV Tropes or anime fansites because if people can sexualize a relationship between two 13 years olds, I don’t know what they would do.
You know guys, I’m going to make a video detailing my top ten favorite anime. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve watched as much anime as you guys have. Even though I’m always watching it,all the shows that I’ve watched even 12 episodes or finished are Neon Genesis Evangelion, Elfen Lied, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Death Note, Clannad, Higurashi no naku koro ni, Ah! My Goddess, Azumanga Daioh, Bleach, Fruits Basket, Haruhi Suzumiya, Hayate the Combat Butler, Rurouni Kenshin and well, thats it really. Anime like Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Panic! FullMetal Alchemist and Durarara! don’t count because I’ve only watched 4 episodes of those shows at most. I’ve got to watch some more anime to be honest if I have to make a list. Code Geass here I come, but first, I must finish with Hayate.
Heck, my favorite movie ever, animated or real, has a short full frontal nude scene. It’s a French movie called Manon of the Spring. It’s a very natural kind of nudity, though, as the woman in question has lived in the wild and just emerged from bathing in a spring. Guy in the trees sees her and falls head over heels in love. Not sexualized at all, and the movie is a fantastic character study. One of my favorite anime, Spice and Wolf, has Holo, who appears very often totally nude in a natural way (she is a nature goddess, after all), though there is no real detail on her body, and two of my favorite shows from my childhood, Tenchi and Outlaw Star feature nudity in some way or another
