Dude, Miki’s one of my favorite characters, and so is Izumi.

As for AMG! I like the fact that it’s gone on for so long. It’s published at a different rate from Hayate, and it doesn’t have as many volumes as, say, One Piece, Bleach, or Naruto (who have way more volumes in less time).
I have to correct myself. Those three girls aren’t my least favorite characters; they are at least tolerable and Radiostar is at least funny evne though he is a complete monster in my opinion. My least favorite character so far is Hibino Fumi. I disliked her the instant I saw her on panel because she is SOO annoying. She contributes nothing to the plot, she gives very little laughs and as I said, she is annoying, distracts from the main characters and the drama and her friend is just a dull character.

I’m currently on chapter 211 of the manga, so yeah, I think I read some 60+ chapters in 2 days. And I’m not going to give up, I’m making a Hayate marathon!

Well, I suddenly have the urge to watch something HORRIBLE. Why? So I can laugh my head off at the sheer atrcity instead of laughing just because thejokes and the characters are so funny (oh Hayate no Gotoku, you’re th best manga I have ever read!) so I’m going to watch School Days.Yes, thats right, the infamous 13 episode anime infamous for its ending, idiot plot and utterly unlikeable characters. I’m doing it. Pray for me. Please. Don’t let me bleed my eyes out as I still want to read about how Hayate and Hingaiku’s date goes. I beg of you. If I do get mentally scarred, then, please shoot me.

Or alternatively, show me the Hayate no gotoku manga and I’ll be happy! Seriously, I know I said but that manga and anime can make ANYTHING happy it is so sweet. Its like Bleach meets with Haruhi Suzumiya. But seriously, I’m watching School days so, yeah, help me. Please, a chibi picture of Hayate and Hinagiku would be appropriate right now.

Say chpaman, who is your least favorite character in Hayate? Also, who is your most favorite character in all of anime? Mine is Kenshin Himura despite Evangelion being my favorite anime (Hayate and Hinagiku both are my second most favorite anime characters, followed by Ichigo Kurasaki, Tomoya Okazaki, Yuki Nagato and Kyon and Shinji Ikari).

You should watch Garzey’s Wing. It’s so bad it’s hilarious.

I’m watching now:

Uchuu Kyuodai:

About two brothers, the older, a Car Designer, the younger, an Astronaut.

Kill me Baby:

Is about some schoolgirls, one is normal, another is an assasin, and the other is a ninja. Is not funny like Nichijou but is not bad.

Shiba Inuko-san:

The protagonist is a 14yo girl that looks like a Shiba Inu dog. She has two friends, one of them, is suspicious about her appearance.

**Acchi Kocchi **

The story is about a small tsundere girl, an serious boy, and their friends.

Kare Kano

A old series (from 1998) about a girl that maintains a façade of perfection in her school, but in her house she is far from that. One day, another good student discovers her true self.

Blessings!

🙂

My schedule this season is:

–Fate/Zero season 2
–Dusk Maiden of Amnesia
–Haiyore! Nyaruko-san
–Accel World
–Yurumates 3Dei

I’m also watching Kids on the Slope, Polar Bear’s Cafe, Medaka Box, and Tsuritama, but I haven’t kept up with those in a while. Finals got in the way, and I haven’t fully cleared up the backlog.

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san?

I saw the first episode today in Crunchyroll.

Is too absurd. A evil Lovecraftian creature suddenly is a cute girl who behaves weirdly and is infatuated with a boy?

An it seems to have yuri and more fanservice later.

Blessings!

🙂

I’m giving Hayate a break though. I just finished the Athens arc and I can say, its one of the best things I’ve seen in any anime or manga. Its as good as the Kyoto arc in Rurouni Kenshin, no doubt about it. I place Hayate even above Clannad becaase I enjoyed it THAT much. Now for school days. Yeah, pray for me. Please.

You know, I said I’m giving Hayate a break but I won’t. I can’t resist as the story is just too good. Its everything I ever wanted since my childhood. When I was a child (you know, ages 5 to 11), I did see anime like Dragonball, Digimon, etc… but I was CRAZY about two British comics called the Beano and the Dandy. For children, they had genuine laughs and there were plenty of moments where I laughed out loud a lot. I gave up buying them a few years ago and reading some of their content in some book shops, I was DISMAYED at the low quality of their jokes and art. They used to be great and all but now, they just plain suck.

I always looked forward to character crossovers and story arcs as most of the stories were gag a day strips, nothing more. They gave the characters a chance to shine with their unique personalities. For example, the Bash Street kids in the original strip were all rather bland as characters but in the story arcs, Spotty was given a tsunderish personality, Wilfred was made into a naive person while Teacher was made into a tired, angry man who neverthless cared for his students and did have some level of control over them. I really liked them to be honest. Hayate no Gotoku is sort what you get if you take these story arcs and give them some proper drama and good writing.

MrSlyvester, I think I’ve finally found a bigger Hayate fan than me.

It’s Japan, what do you expect? 😛

Well, it’s got a girl who has feelings (to put it mildly) for Nyaruko, but they are definitely not returned–not even for a second.

And it does have fanservice, but it’s not overboard.

Anyways, I’m still watching Otome Youkai Zakuro. I like to pace myself through these things.

Well, is really over the top!

And how anime and erotic games are the best entertainment for aliens?

I’m not sure if is really worthy to continue such series. I like series with strange situations (like Nichijou) but this is too much.

It has funny scenes later?

Blessings!

🙂

YOU BET I AM! I read like chapters 114 to 328 (which I just finished reading) in three days. And to be honest, I have to change my mind on Izumi, Miki and Risa: Risa and Isumi seem to genuinely like Hayate as Risa even told Hayate to go after Luca and stared at him with pity in her eyes. Miki on the other hand is too uncaring and is dirty. I don’t dislike her simply because she is the only lesbian in the series other than Kotetsu; in fact, I like Maya from Evangelion and just because someone has same sex attraction doesn’t make them filthy or a bad person. But that picture of her trying to unie Hinagiku’s shirt whilst the latter was sleeping creeped me out and unlike Maya, she is a genuine uncaring jerk. There is not one intance where I remember her doing anything good for the characters. At all. Oh sure, even SHE didn’t post a certain sensei’s anguish on you tube but thats like saying you’re a good person because you don’t kill your enemies or spit at their feet.

However, not even Miki is my MOST last favorite character. That dishonor goes to Fumi. She is still very annoying. Its a good thing she only appeared like 4 times in the manga and the last time she appeared, her friend hit her with that hammer of doom thing removing my dislike for said friend. Also, that ghost Priest. Now I’m only talking about my least favorite characters personal taste-wise. You’re expected to hate Mikado, the school superintendent and Hayate’s parents because they are jerkasses in story. At least they are interesting and serve the plot in an important way.

Also, I don’t think I’ll be watching school days. I’m just sticking with Hayate for now because it is teaching me a lot of lessons about life. I, want to be a genuinely nice person so that people will like me, something which I have a great difficulty with given my temper and lack of social skills.

I just finished reading the whole manga of Hayate now (the chapter that is currently out is chapter 366. 367 is upcoming). Well, I’m going to be working on my book because Hayate and Nagi really did inspire me a lot on being passionate about fiction and wiritng what you want. Man I lvoe this book, I just LOVE IT. I can go on for hours saying how brilliant Hayate is, it blew my mind. There is literally only one work of fiction I had equal fun reading and thats Harry Potter. While I love all the depressing and poignant anime I see all the time, while I did enjoy them a lot, there is something so refreshing reading a manga which while it does have sad moments is nothing but pure fun. Oh my gosh, this has to be one of the greatest things I have ever read. I’m dead serious.

There is even a scene where Hayate, whilst doing an exam and all angry and worn out because of all the trouble he had to pass through just to arrive for it, does something that made my jaw drop it was so unexpected yet so… AWESOME. When he sits down, Yukiji gets bored and gets out her PSP but she accidently falls back in her chair and lets go of her PSP causing it to hit Hayate on his head. Without looking up, he grabs it and literally snaps it in half much to Yukiji and Izumi’s utter shock. Forget his fight with Midas, THAT was the most awesome scene in the entire series.

I’m thinking of reading the Higurashi manga now though. No, having found mangareader.com (mangareader.net/alphabetical), this pretty much summarizes what I’ll be doing for the next few days:

While you were all still learning how to spelll your naammmeee I was learning how to write great characters, appreciate a good story and write like a maniac!!! Oh, the spelling mistakes I’ll be making will lead me to further mandes like this poor guy: youtube.com/watch?v=mv4E9175EOY

I’m reading the rest of 20th century boys. It is SOOO interesting!

Well, I finally finished Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Boy, that was good. I loved the soundtrack (gonna buy the albums in the fall), the visual design was terrific, the characters were so sympathetic, and the story was spectacular. And an anime ending hasn’t moved me like that in a very long time. I’m really glad I gave this one a shot (the first 2 and a half episodes almost dissuaded me until the sobering way the 3rd episode ended).

Another thing about Hayate no Gotoku… in season 2, Nagi gets a new pet cat called Shiranui. Now Shiranui has a white cross on his forehead. Guess who also has a cross on his forehead. Thats right, you know whom I’m talking about… could it be that Shiranui and this guy whose name I won’t spoil because of spoilers are the same person?

I just finished watching the last episode of Carnival Phantasm. One thing I gotta say right now: Thank you Lord for reaffirming my desire to never be in a harem scenario. HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! :rotfl:
