The Gospel as we have it was recognized as Gospel shortly after written. Men canonized what GOD had already put forth.
My understanding was that Catholic laity was not allowed to** own a Bible and of course they were and are not allowed to interprete the Holy Bible.**
tweety- We have to admit that the Catholic Church did protect and preserve GOD’s Word during the darkest time in man’s history- so that when the time was right Luther could nudge the Church back to the Truth.
jmcrae- so now the Church is claiming that the Bible writers were Catholic?!?! Too funny, I thought they were all Jewish and then called Christians first in Antioch!
Acts 11
26and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.
