Just a reminder that the original question was; Who was the first Christian? We have been getting a little off track … I think.(?) One thing to keep in mind is; what is the definition of a Christian? Many believe it is someone that followed Jesus The Christ. Even though time has no constraint on God, and Jesus was at the beginning I would like to think that only those that came after Him ( His incarnation ) and followed His teachings ( no matter how well or how poorly ) would be called Christian.

There are members of the community that surrounded Jesus distinguished by their role in the public ministry of Jesus. We know these members by name and we can distinguish their personal characteristics in the events that became Sacred Scripture.

There are members of the community that gathered around Jesus long before His public ministry. This is a group of believers who during the public ministry relate to Jesus in a more intimate way than the members who were called publicly. They are a hidden community that understood who Jesus is and the meaning of His public presence. They appear occassionally acting out mysterious roles in the Gospel stories.
10 And he said to them: Behold, as you go into the city, there shall meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water: follow him into the house where he entereth in.
37 And behold a woman that was in the city, a sinner, when she knew that he sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment;
The first is an example of a long time member perhaps an intimate among those close to Jesus through family. The second is an example of the hidden communities explosive growth after He bcame a public figure.

A striking characteristic that distinguishes the hidden members of the community is their profound understanding of who Jesus is and the meaning of His presence. They act in ways that offer the sacred authors a means to express the sublimity of Christ and the deep faith that was happening amidst the confusion and rejection of the public.

Not understanding your question. Elaborate please.
I guess the point I am making is, no matter how someone how one “becomes” a Christian, I never really considered Jesus as “part of the group.”

Its kind of like, is Britney Spears a member of the Britney Spears Fan Club?

I don’t know what is more disturbing, that I have made an an analogy using Britney Spears or that there are people who worship her.

(or that I spelled her name right–I just spell checked it).
