What many of have done is point out that several posters openly dissent from Church teaching on abortion.

No one here dissented Church teachings. Many of us just disagree with an opinion held by other CAF members

What credentials does the one doing the “correcting” have to have to be accepted and acknowledged as the final word on Catholic teaching on this Forum? I know that Fr. Serpa is such an authority. Who else?

I have posted direct quotes from the Cathecsim , the USCCB, two encyclicals, two popes and several Bishops. You can not dismiss it simply because it runs contrary to your political views

For the love of Pete, it’s a preference by the Church, it’s not official teaching that you must vote for a pro-life candidate and that no other issue matters.

And don’t accuse me of dissent. You are not entitled to do so, especially considering you don’t know what kind of person I am.

I know you have expressed views that conflict with the teachings of the Church. Rather than get upset with me for pointing it out might I suggest you do a little research into what the Church teaches?

Of course we can! Jesus even taught us how to do it.

“By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.”

I’ll trust then the same measure of recognizing good and bad fruit is used when it comes to scandal too.
