This took place on January 19, 2010 at the Graham Road Elementary School in Falls Church, Virginia. The teleprompter was used when he was announcing his latest education initiative to the reporters who were there. When the President was talking to the kids, no teleprompter was used (see third photo at link).

If the man can’t manage to churn out a talk extemporaneously to a bunch of 11 year olds, he isn’t fit to be President.

He just doesn’t know when to stop talking. For example the Bible comment? the Christian country comment? All unneeded and certainly didn’t help his situation for this term. The foolish comments on the Gulf Spill etc?
That said candidates today have to seriously be willing to eat dirt and be subjected to constant critical scrutiny. The public today like the NH situation. The people not only want to hear a public speech. They want the candidate to come in there homes sit down and answer questions.
Someone mentioned Perry above. Can another President get in out of Texas in 2012? I don’t know. I know he’s done a great job their with the economy in Texas. Perry is responsible for 37% of the increase in jobs in the country. He’s Pro-Life, Pro NRA, and easily can line up with the Tea Party.
Its early yet, lot of personal agenda issues going on at the moment.

Of course he did. He had one short photo op were he sat and looked at the kids but his remarks to the kids were all made from behind the podium using a TeleprompterDid you look at the photos?

Should we be selecting a president on the basis of his teleprompter use???
Instead :has he shown to be up to the task? Are we better than when he started(in all important matters: pro-life issues ,war, economy, immigration,healthcare?
Does he apprecciate the full extent of the predicament America is in?Or is this an ego trip for

Maybe he is trying his best according to his philosophical view of society?
Is his view of society good for America?
Each of us should decide according to our consciences and love of country.

So? Reminds me of the story about the woman who walked in on her husband in bed with another woman. He proclaimed and innocence and said “who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes” There is indisputable documentation that Barack Obama addressed a classroom of 11-year-olds using a Teleprompter.
