As a Friend, I am interested in others faith journeys. I want to seek to understand the Catholic faith so I can understand the “whys” and “wherefores” of Catholic behavior.

I want to better understand and dispell some of my own misconceptions. In doing so, I find I am able to live in the Center of Truth when my understanding is not marred by misinformation.

LOL! This is great! I was thinking about this today when leaving work!

We will have to start:
CAFA
Catholic Answers Forum Anonymous!

Hi, I am Thomas, and I am a CAFaholic!
Perhaps we should instead call the program deCAF? 😉

Shlomo lkhulkhun,

I first came here to try to disprove Catholics, (almost three years ago actually) even though I was a bit curious. I ended up converting a year later from Methodism. This forum not only strengthens Catholics, but helps to make them through God’s grace. 👍

Alloho minokhoun,
Andrew

Because if non-Catholics were not here, you could not have the Non-Catholic Religions Forum section. Who better to represent the specific non-Catholic Faith than those from that particular faith?
I have always wondered how us Non-Catholics have been lumped into the group with Non-Christians. To be honest, this seems very odd to me.

And to answer the OP’s question…

I came here basically to see what the Catholic Church was teaching. I needed to be ready to answer our Catholic School attending children’s questions when belief/practices did not line up with our faith.

God Bless!

From my experiences as a moderator on another forum, it’s probably to make the mods’ jobs easier. And also people looking for relevant threads.

If someone wants to make a thread about a group that calls itself Christian but has any non-Christian beliefs or practices, then the mods won’t get messages asking which section they belong in. Whether it’s Non-Catholic Religions or Non-Christian Stuff. :hypno:

And if I wanted to look for threads about such groups, I’d only have to search one section, not two.

I’m a former Catholic who has family and friends who are still Catholics. I came here a while back toward the end of my time in Catholicism and have stayed.

Even I have already gaven my answer
in the other mentioned thread , I’d still to add:

Suppose we were all the same ?? 😉

Salute & Cheers from a NON BELIEVER:

I was thinking something similar.

Perhaps Ag_not would be happier if the whole “Non-Catholic Religions Forum” were deleted?
Wow 😃 Some really excellent and interesting responses here - and this wasnt one of them  😛
