“There has been no greater champion for rectifying racial and income disparities in America’s educational system than President Trump.”
Which I guess explains why the racial disparities in wealth and education are greater than anything in the last 50 years at least.

How can a Catholic in good conscience vote for Biden/Harris -the baby killers?
They have not killed a single baby. And Trump has not saved a single baby.
Are you troubled by Kamala Harris’ anti-Catholicism? She thinks the Knights of Columbus is a hate group, BTW,
False. She questioned a nominee who was a member as to whether he would uphold the law of the land if confirmed, even if that law is contrary to Catholic teaching. That is not the same thing as declaring the KofC a hate group. JFK got similar questions when he ran for President. But he didn’t get all indignant about it.

By your logic Hitler never killed a single Jew.
But he did give orders that Jews were to be killed. Biden and Harris never even ordered a single abortion. The ones ordering the abortions are the mothers and so some extent their friends a family that pressure them. Biden and Harris never even did that.

Again with this ‘pressure’ line. I’ve posted elsewhere why I find it a bit ridiculous to always need to bring that in to discussions of abortion. It’s as if many can’t face the cold hard truth that most abortions are by women of free will.

Fine. I can go that too. I mentioned the other parties only to head off expected complaints that women are often pressured into abortion. But personally, I don’t believe it. I think most women decide all on their own that they want an abortion. Therefore they are the primary guilty parties when it comes to the sin of abortion, and to a much lesser extent, politicians that allow it to be legal.

Can we agree the war on poverty from LBJ has failed?
Since that is not the issue in this election, nor the issue of this thread, I see no need to comment.

The point is the welfare system keeps people down. Jobs allow upward movement.
Then why, in the era of Trump, has that upward movement been so different for white and for blacks? The disparities have never been greater, and they are still growing.

The disparities have never been greater? Really? You may dislike Trump but please don’t say things like that.

Nope, you are wrong - as usual. The whole reason holocaust deniers make hay is because Hitler never signed a single such order.

So, to reiterate: by your logic Hitler never killed a single Jew.

Minorities were doing the best ever. Are you aware of the employment figures? Don’t fall for the income disparity claims. The 80/20 rule always applies.

Jobs get people to the middle class. The last several decades policies gutted the middle class by moving jobs overseas. No lower income people were going to be able to jump to the upper class, so it trapped them. The dem and gop are responsible. Trump has jumped out of this vicious circle.

Actually, Leaf, your statement of widening disparities is shown as false by the very graphs you posted yesterday - such as showing increasing minority membership in the US Congress.

And BTW, we had a black president from 2008-2016.
Just sayin…

Oh, come on! You are entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts:

White Median Income:
2016: 68,059
2018: 70,642 (a 3.8% increase)

Black Median Income:
2016: 41,323
2018: 41,361 (a 0.09% increase)

Under Trump the income disparity has only grown. And the wealth disparity is much worse. Now, to be fair, most of that wealth inequality accumulated from 1980-2016 before Trump took office. So I can’t blame him for all of it. But he is continuing in the tradition of making it even worse.

Slightly better than they were before 2016, but not nearly as well as whites, who reaped most of the benefits of the economic expansion. You see, when you examine racial disparities, you don’t compare blacks in 2020 with blacks in 2016. You should compare black gains over that period compared to white gains over that same period. That’s what “racial disparity” means.

You have made my point. Government benefits rise slower than wage growth. New entries into the job market will take some time for this to catch up.

A rising tide lifts all boats.
