I am trying to expand your thinking you are limiting yourself to the possibilities of how and why God has spoken to us in the ways He has.
Can you please state what type of Christian you are.Not at all if your an adoptive child you would want to know more about your real parents.
I can not understand why you would not want to look at scripture this way.
Does not an understanding of Passover enrich our understanding of the Crucifixion?
Does not our understnading of Pentacost enrich our understanding of our Pentecost?
Both Feasts and there NT coterparts help to tell us who God is.
Actually, we do. We celebrate birthdays on whatever day is convenient. If someone’s b-day falls during the week, we’ll celebrate it on either the weekend before or after. The sheep were in the fields when Christ was born.
Sheep are not in the fields that time of year in and around Jerusalem.
Do you celebrate any of your family members birthday on any day other than their actual birthday.
Adoptive parents are REAL parents. Not at all if your an adoptive child you would want to know more about your real parents.

Basil… that wasn’t my quote, it was Hisalone’s.**What authority to you have for the very Bible you hold in your hands, OTHER than this same tradition you reject?
After all, unlike a book for morons, it wasn’t found in a box in a field, nor did it drop down from heaven already written.**
God speaks through His ChurchI am trying to expand your thinking you are limiting yourself to the possibilities of how and why God has spoken to us in the ways He has.
Because he gave you, and you alone the ability to truly figure out his divine mysteries, never mind that there have been many, many, men greater then all of us here over the past 2,000 years.I am trying to expand your thinking you are limiting yourself to the possibilities of how and why God has spoken to us in the ways He has.
And who made you an “authority” of translating God’s word to us?I am trying to expand your thinking you are limiting yourself to the possibilities of how and why God has spoken to us in the ways He has.
Many of the early Christians were Jewish. so they were already celebrating the Feast of the Tabernacles. They needed a different day to celebrate the birth of the Messiah.Have you read nothing I write?
During the Feast of Tabernacles.

Now, when the people who came up with holiday selected the date, did they do so because they were trying to intentionally mix Christian beliefs with secular beliefs, or because it was a very convenient date, since there were already many holidays at that time of year (Christmas, Hannukah, New Year’s, etc…) and it would be easier to celebrate since most of secular society would have the week off?
So what you’re saying is that African-Americans selected the date of this holiday NOT because they were trying to become Christian, but because the date was convenient. So… why can’t the reverse be true, with Christians selecting a date to celebrate the birth of Jesus out of convenience, NOT as a way to adopt paganism? In fact, if anything, it was an effort to SUPPLANT paganism!Kwanzaa is certainly not a Christian holiday.
The evidence against December 25th is much stronger than the evidence for it.
Hisalone,Do you know why we celebrate it on Dec 25th?
So tell us all here, what date and month do you celebrate our Lord Jesus Christ Birth or do you even celebrate his birth? Hmmmmm!
By the way, it takes more than desire to become a saint, for many desire many things but if the work is done without trembling and fear, regarding Salvation/Saint, well the desire is just a desire with no fruit. Desire to be anything does not cut it.
As Philipians 2: 12 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, (as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but much more now in my absence,) with fear and trembling work out your salvation. 13 For it is God who worketh in you, both to will and to accomplish, according to his good will.

I’m sorry. Sad for you. I hope you know that the apostles didn’t celebrate your birthday either, or the Independence of America as a nation.hmmm… who should I follow? Christ and His Apostles or their secessors?
I try not to celebrate either Christmas or Thanksgiving Day, in keeping with the teachings of Christ and His Apostles.

GREAT!!! But that is not the end of the story!!! The Messiah came! Many of those Jews did not recognize Him. The story continues on. The Christians now celebrate with feasts not “looking forward to the coming Messiah” but in celebration of the Messiah who was born in a manger, to be King of Kings and Lord of Lords, who died for our sins so we could be reconciled to God, then arose on the third day and ascended into heaven. The oracles of God wereentrusted to the Jews whom I am forever gratefull that they kept them faithfully.
Don’t limit yourself----receive the WHOLE Gospel!
Im a NonDenom, who is Evangelical, Fundamental and Charismatic. Can you please state what type of Christian you are.
Thanks!
Of course.@ OP ~
There is a baby found somewhere and it’s dropped of to a hosptial/police.
These institutions will eventually put the baby up for adoption.
No one knows the baby’s “real birth date”.
You, meaning **YOU **adopt this baby.
Are you going to celebrate your adopted childs birthday as years go by?
Not arrogant. Actually completely the opposite. It’s called HUMILITY. It’s coming to realize that it isn’t about what I feel or think to be right, but it’s about being submissive to the AUTHORITY of Christ’s Church to lead and guide me in faith and morals. What is arrogant is to say you have the fullness of truth and that you cannot err.
I will Celebrate Christs birth with my family on December 25th it is when they celebrate it. If I had my own wife and kids then I would have a decision to make.Hisalone,

So your church teaches you that it is wrong to celebrate the birth and incarnation of Christ (never mind the date, 25 December is every bit as likely to be right, and as wrong, as any other date)?hmmm… who should I follow? Christ and His Apostles or their secessors?
I try not to celebrate either Christmas or Thanksgiving Day, in keeping with the teachings of Christ and His Apostles.
