Now come on! I think the earth is older than 6,000 years old. Actually, there is no empirical way to test the earth’s age. Please go ahead and refute this! 😃
Actually, I think all of the evidence that has been found suggests the Earth is billions of years old. Those that want to refute that are usually basing their claims on things with little to no evidentiary value.

Which is a debate we have going on in another thread, remember?

Yes, billions and billions of years old. That is what I was thinking. I mean look at the dinosaurs! and Fossil plants and such.

Yes remember quite well. I was just making a light-hearted comment in what has become a light-hearted and entertaining thread.

fossils don’t provide the dates, they provide the order of events. actual dating is now done, I believe, by a radiometric dating method that looks at known decay rates

Oh ok, so the yeast is a naturally occurring thing on the fruit itself. I get it. So, yes, God created the grape to do that, knowing full well, it was going to be fermented causing it to become alcoholic in nature. Wow! Pretty clever if I must say. He meant for us to enjoy this process in moderation.
seems likely. windfall apples rotting on the ground have little pools of fermenting apple juice, otherwise known as cider. butterflies drink this alcoholic cider and fly off a bit uncertainly. i’ve always liked that story.

Lol. What? The butterflies fly lopsided or something?? :rotfl:

Hey! Remember E.T.?? He found beer in the frig, and Elliot got drunk in class from it! 😃

It is everywhere on this forum… You don’t agree with me on interpreting Genesis - You are a sinner, you don’t agree with me on how we should dress - You are a sinner, You watch TV shows that I don’t like - You are a sinner, and on and on it goes.
Don’t forget about reading Harry Potter novels, or doing yoga stretches for your arthritis.

Oh my, how did I forget about those. I just keep forgetting that because some people use some things for less than moral purposes, that means that everyone that does those things is doing them for less than moral purposes. There can be no gray area!!

Yeah, what is this I been hearing about yoga?? How can that be a sin?? It is a form of exercise! Even tho I can’t do yoga it can be relaxing for a lot of people.

Because some people get into the spiritual aspects of yoga, which really are not ok. Therefore, some people have concluded that it is impossible to be into the physical aspects of yoga without getting into the spiritual aspects.

You mean to tell me that getting into the spiritual aspects of yoga is not ok according to Church mandates or standards?? Is it cuz it is considered heretical?? I am not following.

I think you can combine both the spiritual and physical aspects of yoga just like you can with the marital act as an example.

I guess I should clarify, there are some that replace Catholic spirituality with yoga spirituality. This is what I was saying was wrong. There are some that enhance their spirituality with yoga, and as long as they don’t take it too far, I think that is fine.
