Nope…he didn’t go to Mars…he went to…and landed on the moon like he was supposed to…so no need to pull down or rename anything

So would you support pulling down Neil Armstrong statues, and renaming his schools and airports, because he didn’t reach Mars and he was complicit in the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster?
Why would Neil have reached Mars? There was no Mars mission planned for him. And how was Neil complicit in the Challenger disaster?

I heard that, and find it sad and disgusting for reasons just like this that you will have folks on Catholic Answers defending Laverne Deblasio. Catholic. Uh huh.

I wonder when we’ll start cancelling some of our own saints, to quench this newfound thirst for “justice”

Pope St. Paul VI in 1969, and before that, Pope St. Pius V in the 16th c.

Christopher Columbus was a tyrant and liar.
One of my favorite quotes from the show Firefly is, " It’s my estimation that every man ever got a statue made of him was one kind of [bad person] or another."

I see where this is going… So what should we do then? Defund, boycott, or rename the KofC?
I’m not a Knight of Columbus, but if I was I’d definitely prefer the organization wasn’t named after a man who sold child sex slaves.
