Animals most certainly do reflect Gods Nature.

What is Gods Nature? Are not Beauty, Goodness, and Life in his Nature?

Are not animals Beautiful? Are they not Good? Do they not have Life?

You’re imposing human morality issues onto animals who only act according to nature.

Animals only “rape” and “act homosexual” because they have the same fallen nature that the rest of the universe has.

When God renews the Earth and Universe, all the animals will go back to there perfect pre fall ways - they will only eat vegetables, they will not kill, will not rape, will not even reproduce.

As you wish…they can still reflect God, but do things you would assume God does not do!

I am not saying nature should be equal to God, it should just reflect who he is more closely.
Of course it does in angels and mankind.

Catechism
51 "It pleased God, in his goodness and wisdom, to reveal himself and to make known the mystery of his will. His will was that men should have access to the Father, through Christ, the Word made flesh, in the Holy Spirit, and thus become sharers in the divine nature."2

Holy Images

1161 All the signs in the liturgical celebrations are related to Christ: as are sacred images of the holy Mother of God and of the saints as well. They truly signify Christ, who is glorified in them. They make manifest the "cloud of witnesses"29 who continue to participate in the salvation of the world and to whom we are united, above all in sacramental celebrations. Through their icons, it is man “in the image of God,” finally transfigured "into his likeness,"30 who is revealed to our faith. So too are the angels, who also are recapitulated in Christ:
Following the divinely inspired teaching of our holy Fathers and the tradition of the Catholic Church (for we know that this tradition comes from the Holy Spirit who dwells in her) we rightly define with full certainty and correctness that, like the figure of the precious and life-giving cross, venerable and holy images of our Lord and God and Savior, Jesus Christ, our inviolate Lady, the holy Mother of God, and the venerated angels, all the saints and the just, whether painted or made of mosaic or another suitable material, are to be exhibited in the holy churches of God, on sacred vessels and vestments, walls and panels, in houses and on streets.31

Guysssss iam not saying animals are sinful as they cannot sin but its weird because they act in such a way that respresents sin…like think without referring to theology, the CCC or whatever and understand that I am just kinda tryin to understand why God created animals to be a certain way that represents what sin is…

Like I don’t get why God would create animals to masterbate but later tell us its wrong?

Ya see some of it makes no sense.

I believe in evolution that took over a billion years to complete…so idk it makes me wonder is all.

I feel like you guys don’t fully get my question.

Please try to read my posts on reddit, the replies i left on reddit, the replies on this post and understand that I am kinda wierded out by all this, its not hard to understand but its almost like you guys are not exactly getting what I am saying…

I guess this concerns me because of the fact that I feel like there may be no God because of this doubt or that God may be good and evil because of this doubt.

Idkkkk

NOTE: I am not a theologian or scholar so using both types of ways to answer my question is silly and ineffective and i might as well hang myself lol

create animals to masterbate
God did not creates non-human animals to masturbate, however, it occurs. It is not a sin for them since there is no presence or lack of charity. Since they do not have free will, non-human animals do not freely choose to act with malice or charity. However mankind and the angels have the capacity so they may be culpable for their acts. Animals form strong attachments. Note that even humans form strong attachments, but humans can even love their enemies:

Matthew 5
43 You have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thy enemy. 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you: 45 That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good, and bad, and raineth upon the just and the unjust. 46 For if you love them that love you, what reward shall you have? do not even the publicans this? 47 And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more? do not also the heathens this? 48 Be you therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect.

Animals are not sinful. The fierce ones are that way because they have not been domesticated and probably won’t be. You can have a pet cheetah (if you live where it is allowed) but you probably won’t be able to domesticate a bear or a lion.

Humans are sinful in the way they hurt animals. Some man cut the head off his girlfriend’s puppy to get even with her. I could name many instances of animal cruelty.

Animals are beautiful.

You guys are not getting the main point of my question…

At this point I don’t know why i should repeat myself…

ADD: If anything I would basically like to imply instead of sinful a better word is that it seems weird and innappropriate that God would create animals to masterbate and then later create us with the same features and tell us its sinful.

Like the way I see it I don’t think things are sinful because God says so but mainly because of the act itself…so if I think masterbation is bad in humans I think its also bad in animals as well.

I think the act itself is bad not just because God says it is.

Why God created something like that is honestly weird, because he tells it is wrong later on. Its a contradiction.

God also created the fallen angels that now torment us. They deceive us, infest our houses, possess our bodies, yet God created every one of them. Demons are far worse than masturbating animals. It’s not contradictory that God creates things that seem, to us, opposed to His nature (as we understand it). Remember, God is love and truth, yes, but He is also the God that has killed mankind with water and fire. Our ways are not His ways. What do you think of that?

I kinda believe that the fallen angel rebuttal is a bit different than the animal problem we are having.

I think I get your point, but none-the-less…It still creates an impediement for me…

Probably will forever and ever i guess lol

partially its who I am, I never stop doubting lol

I think the difficulty you are experiencing in understanding is coming from your idea of what sin is. Sin is a moral disorder, a privation of form or order or due measure and is found only in intelligent beings and it deprives them of some moral good. For animals, their simple motive functions are involuntary and tend to produce the behavior that ensures survival, which is beneficial, however sometimes the opposite occurs due to genetic defect the physiology is malformed, or events produce such conditioning for that.

Then I guess we are referring to different definitions here, my def of sin is different from yours in this case.

I cannot relate to people who define everything via theology.

Is there some meaning of sin below that you mean?

Merriam-Webster Dictionary,
sin, noun:
1 a :an offense against religious or moral law
b :an action that is or is felt to be highly reprehensible it’s a sin to waste food
c :an often serious shortcoming :fault
2 a :transgression of the law of God
b :a vitiated state of human nature in which the self is estranged from God

Why did God create animals. .?
Might look it up to brush up on my poor Bible skills

I have my own definitions of what i think sin is…As i said I am not a theologian and I don’t want to be one. Since I see most people that go in that path come out the otherside less human. At least in my perspective.

Anyway this is really off topic. You using theological concepts with a commoner is like a forigiener trying to talk to a human.

Honestly idk anymore, its like im talking to myself with this thread.

Well you are asking in English so I would expect you to use a dictionary definition so that your ideas will be communicated. If you have your own definition of sin which is not in the English dictionary, then could you describe the concept?

Sin is related to the topic because it was a response to the question of: “Why did God create animals in such a way where they don’t reflect his nature?”

Easy solution: stop believing in evolution. God created the world and man as “perfect” beings and with the fall they were cursed and their bodies were changed. Yes their biology was changed. No this is not compatible with evolution.

Evolution does require you to believe in a God who created a corrupt, flawed, disgusting world filled with terror and suffering and death and decided to put His beloved creation in that world. If you don’t want to believe that God did that (I don’t blame you) then you gotta let go of evolution. If you want evolution then you have to believe that God decided to make a deadly place where every hand is turned against each other and survival is purchased only with bloodshed the abode of His most beloved (and as yet sinless) creation.
