M.I. Knight:
Sorry, I read your words incorrectly. The yes and no was refering to God not humans.
Interesting. Is this just a great mystery, I do not want to act as if i can fully comprehend the mysteries of Gods ways and his jkudgement. Can we even know, do we not determine our salvation. Can the outcome of our choices, namely our effects on our salvation. Can it change the plan of God?

One Question at a time. Ask a question and I will give the best answer I could with the help of the Spirit. If it is the Spirit wills it.

Here’s my take:

Was Lucifer created in God’s image? Either way, if Satan went before the throne and begged forgiveness, could he be redeemed?
Excellent topic.
Sorry I know this a bit off topic. I asked a friend of mine Dr Hayden Ramsey who is a moral theologian and Philosipher the question “could God forgive satan?”
He said that because Angels have ultimate awareness of thier actions, being spirit and in Heaven, Lucifer sinned knowing full well his destiny if he did so, he became satan.
God cannot forgive him, he is damned for all time.
Different for us as we do not have this supernatural awareness and are broken by original sin therefore we can be forgiven if we ask
God bless

Would you like to be on topic and join our conversation? (no pun intended)

Dear Sean,

Yes. We have the freedom to choose what outcome we will recieve.

M.I. Knight:
The answeris no. Come on Sean you know that.
So what happens when we die in Gods grace but he know that we will instead go to hell? what happens then?

If we die in God’s Grace we will go to heaven.

Is it safe to say that, no matter what we do in life, it ultimately cannot change what God already knows that is in store for us?

That might not be true. This is my oppinion however but let us find out if it is true. Critique my answer. If you can!

Are we forgetting purgatory?
We are all sinners, it is only by God’s grace we are saved from eternal hellfire.
God wants all men to be saved so we have the cleaning room after death for that

I am not sure that your answer needs a critique. However i will assert that what God already knows cannot change, correct?

Can we in fact go to heaven if God knows we will go to hell. Can we change this outcome?
Forgive me…I’m kinda thinking outloud…

God is ALL good.

God created everything and said it is good.

Everything good is of God and everything of God is good.

Therefore everything ultimately is a creation of God and it is all good.

Hell exists–therefore it is allowed by God and exists for His purpose.

Hell is the abscence of God–it is awareness that we were created of goodness and destined for goodness and yet we chose the absence of goodness. In that awareness it must be evident that the gift of existence was an act of love. And to have been loved–to have been granted the gift of existance-- even unworthily is better than never to have been loved–nothingness–no awareness–no point–nothing–irrelevant.

At the end of time–Satan will know it is better that he was given exsistence–and he will regret that he squandered God’s gift of love.

About God knowing our destiny…God knows it now…our past present and future. It’s not like he knows BEFORE we make a choice…He exists outside of "before"or “after”–he’s Now. So we are given our birth–existence in “time”-- so that we may choose to be “born again” and exist with God, or choose to never be born into God’s family and not exist with God.

Ultimately–it is another mystery that our human minds bound by space and time cannot grasp because of God’s infinite nature.

I know i don’t get it…I just try to “get it” as much as I can…

It still goes back to one of the greatest gifts we are given, Free will, God loves us and he wants us to love him freely as a choice to do so.

Yes, however we are speaking of the only two eternal possible alternatives, namely heaven and hell. Those are the only two ends. Purgatory is not an end as you know. (just for clarification purposes:) ) Thanks!!!

Maybe he knows it now as CreosMary points out…Maybe that’s why he’s so testy…:o

Dear sean,

I think the question your asking is : CAn God create Satan and still be good if he knows that Lucifer will go to hell

God can still remain good, and have created Satan, that is my position. I think the question, is just the age old question. Why did he create Satan?
