Why Did Jesus Never Get Married

it’s weird for Jesus to marry someone. Like technically…he created her? If I was a woman I wouldn’t want Jesus to be my husband because of that. It’s just weird. Also…he would literally know everything about me. No thank you:joy:

God marrying a human sounds really Greek to me, lol
 
He did set a tremendous example- with handling a wife.
He laid down his life for his bride, the church.

He is God. He was the One behind ‘the big bang’. He put the universe into place and set an order so we could have months marked by the moon and navigate using the stars.
He was there in the burning bush that spoke to Moses. He was the force that split the Red Sea so people could walk on dry ground.

He opened Heaven for us.

I think we tend to hear the Gospels and think of Jesus as a man, which he was. He knew what it was to be hungry and cold. He hid his divinity so that we would not be afraid of him. He also spoke to the wind and the waves, and they calmed down.

We have an awesome God!
 
The short reason, because God does not need his own Sacraments. They are for the use of man.

Matthew 8:14–15 Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them.

Also, Mark 1:29–31 and Luke 4:38–41

A repugnant story of pure fantasy. Its laughable, but at the same time its sad because some people actually believe

Man I would be so jealous if Jesus was married. Then he wouldn’t be all mine!
 
He created every single woman on earth. You do not marry your creation. its like creating a robot then marrying it.

A convicted killer is sent to a deserted planet - to serve out his time - alone.
He is visited every so often by a supply rocket ship -
They one day bring him a female robot !

Would the families include their parents or the apostles’ wives? Who would provide for those women though, given that they were under their husbands’ authority? This is a question I’m interested in as Peter is supposedly married.

If Jesus had a wife, why didn’t he acknowledge her at the time of his death? He had given Mary to John, it would seem fitting that he would have entrusted his wife to someone imo.

Idk…the idea of Jesus being married to someone grosses me out. He created her!
 
Then we’d have to deal with Percy Jackson and The DaVinci Code.
 
Jesus was sent here to do one specific thing, marriage would not have fit in at all with his purpose for coming here.
