Have to justify their beliefs to you?
Why can they not just live their own life, and be good and productive citizens for society?
Why can they not have their own lives?
Because Man is restless until he rests in God, and Catholics are restless until all rest in Catholicism!
To not want to justify what you believe is fear that you are in error.
I totally agree. Though I rush to point out that I’m (and I’m assuming you are as well) not speaking about serial killers, etc., but am talking about living their lives as they see fit as long as they don’t abuse the rights of others. There are many reasons to not want to justify your beliefs to any other human. The only being a person should have to justify their own beliefs is to God.
Well, perhaps their priest.
People need to learn to just let other people live their own lives and not worry whether or not someone else is living it correctly. That is their choice to make, not anybody elses.
Thank you for stating it so much better than my answer did. It is a great answer, as it is the truth. I love the truth!!!Because Man is restless until he rests in God, and Catholics are restless until all rest in Catholicism!

Actually, it is often a fear of wasting much time and energy engaging in a debate with someone who will never, ever, admit that you may be right.Because Man is restless until he rests in God, and Catholics are restless until all rest in Catholicism!

To engage in truthseeking is never wasted time. If humility is absent though, it sure makes it painful on both sides.
I agree that, because we are fallible human beings, it is of the upmost importance to concede what one was formerly ignorant of. No matter how firmly I believe in my faith, I must be willing to admit I may be wrong about a great many things.
So with all the humility I am capable of, I say; go ahead, challenge my faith.
