Really? Could you provide evidence?
And the whole purpose of you being here is to troll a Catholic forum.Puh-lease, the whole purpose of this thread is to proselytize Latter-day Saints.
I’m glad you agree that Mormons are not Christian according to the teaching of the Catholic Church.Anyone who reads english as a first language would see I was responding to what written. Not sure how you divined he was referencing beliefs and not actions, nor how that changes what I posted.
What made you leave Catholicism?I discovered Christ prior to becoming a Latter Day Saint. It has increased greatly in the years since I converted from Catholicism.
We aren’t critics. We’re informed observers who don’t view your church, religion and teachings through rose colored glasses.I recognize that our critics will always say we are not Christian. That is unfortunate. Their agenda is show us “into something we are not”.
I expect, just as a select group of Mormons did on the Amazon Christianity forum, the purpose of the Mormons who post here in the Non-Catholic Religions section of this website, is to promote and defend their religion, which they, of course, have the right to do. I don’t think they were counting on us being as informed about it as we are tho.gazelam:![]()

Please provide a generally accepted definition of the Trinity that allows for the Father to be the Son at the same time. Thanks in advance.Verse 4 is consistent with 1 thru 6 in a proper understanding of the Trinity.
Joseph Smith started out as a trinitarian as he wrote in the 1830 version of the Book of Mormon. The most obvious trinitarian verses were removed as Joseph Smith’s beliefs in the nature of God changed,
My understanding is that this is a debate forum. It’s not going to be much of a debate if only one side shows up. If the rules or nature of this forum has changed I’m interested in knowing what the new rules are.And the whole purpose of you being here is to troll a Catholic forum.
Please provide modalistic examples from the Book of Mormon. Verse 4 that Lemuel posted above says essentially the same thing as John 5:43 I came in the name of my Father…Yep, the BOM is Modalistic.
Debating and proselytizing are not the same thing. Mormons bear their testimony to non-Mormons, to proselytize. It’s also a form of putting ones fingers in their ears and going lalalalalalalala. Testimony bearing is not debating.RebeccaJ:![]()
Puh-lease, the whole purpose of this thread is to proselytize Latter-day Saints.Bearing your testimony is against forum rules because it is proselytizing.
I was a Mormon for decades. Mormons are programmed to not read or study from sources that conflict with what they are spoon fed to believe. It’s all about “when the prophet has spoken, the debate is over” kind of stuff. The problem is that the most damning evidence against the Mormon church comes from their own libraries and most Mormons won’t even read that. I have been repeatedly attacked for my “claims” against the Mormon church when most of what I “claim” is merely repeating what comes from their own sources. It intrigues me that you, like the Mormons I encountered on the now defunct Amazon discussion forums, are so defensive about your beliefs. Is this defensive mechanism common to all Mormons or just those who don’t appreciate hearing the truth from outsiders to your chosen religion?
I seriously doubt that anyone expects the Church to come clean. That would be the end to their house of cards. They won’t do it.You can continue to want the church to “come clean”, nonetheless the official websites are correct.
