No offense, but *please…*The Old Testament is full of lurid stories about how God ordered the Israelites to massacre their neighbors to take possession of the Promised Land. I’m sorry, but the Old Testament is the single worst reference one can point to as a spiritual authority capable of reining in the Israelis.
Did I say anything about “reining in the Israelis”??
What I asked was → Why do people who say that they believe in the Bible continue to support Israel’s disproportionate attacks on the Palestinian population?
I doubt that most Israelis believe in the Bible and so my question was not really directed at them.
I mean, can there be such a thing as an “atheist Jew” from a religious perspective?.. From what I read, there are quite a few of them in Israel claiming the land is theirs.
And you are out of your mind! Ever read up on the Muslim slave trade in Africa? I doubt it. Check out what your people did to innocent Africans all for the sake of a dollar. History shows that Muslim slave trading made the trans-Atlantic slave trade look like a walk in the park. At leat when America has dropped its bombs it has been done in the service of other people. We bombed Germany to get rid of facism. We bombed Japan to rid the Pacific of an empire that was lighting innocent people on fire. And we bombed Iraq, for one reason, to get rid of a dictator who raped and murdered the young girls right in front of their fathers. At least when we have killed it has been in the defense of something, not done in the name of God. I tell you what: the next time one of your fellow Muslims cuts the head off of an innocent person and posts it on the internet, YOU stand up and scream about it. Until then, this thread is pointless. You have no desire for dialouge; You only want to attack America and Israel. Stand up and oppose your own militant people and then we will listen to you.
FYI, slavery existed long before the arrival of Islam and so why are Muslims being blamed for it?
As for your statement –
“And we bombed Iraq, for one reason, to get rid of a dictator who raped and murdered the young girls right in front of their fathers.”
I have never heard of this before.
At first, I thought that the reason Iraq was invaded was because of the presence of WMD’s in Iraq.
And then, the reason was changed to bringing democracy and freedom to the people of Iraq.
But now apparently, it turns out that the real reason for the invasion was because a dictator was raping and murdering young girls in front of their fathers.
Americans need to sort out the real reason why you are in Iraq because Muslims are really, really confused about this.
And as for your
“At least when we have killed it has been in the defense of something, not done in the name of God” explanation, then perhaps Muslims need to remember that it might be more acceptable to non-Muslims that we kill in the name of something else besides God.
