It is a popular idea in our society to think that we all have a ‘divine spark’ or something of being a god inside of us. This is absolutely false, but because it’s so prevalent, we need to be extra careful to avoid encouraging it.
Code:I have only heard of this idea of the "divine spark' once before. I did not realize that it was so "prevalent" like you say and I most assuredly do not believe that there is a god hidden in us as you say they believe but, I thought it was Catholic teaching that God is in us. It is the Spirit of God that gives us life. He dwells in us wether we like it or not and we can either listen to Him our try to ignore Him and live our life for our pleasures instead of His and when we are united with each other in the Holy Spirit living for God's Will it is then that we become the Church of God. Is this incorrect and if it is why?
