I’m so happy that we’ve resolved this. The easy-believism comment was actually directed at Solafide, who stopped posting here for some reason. I’m just happy that everyone is beginning to see that the Protestant and Catholic views of faith/justification/works are actually the same thing with different emphases. I’m so happy that we’ve established that. I know that alont of sincere Protestants live like that any they aren’t all easy-believers. Catholics are the same way; some sincere, others, sadly, have faith but produce no good fruit…Yup.
Actually I don’t disagree with you. I actually agree with this quote with one quibble:…
Logic comment (which I am allowing for myself under my new self-imposed restrictions) Sola Fide is just a title. Since it does not have a verb, the phrase means nothing in itself.
Therefore you have have examine what those who profess “Sola Fide” actually believe before you can conclude that it is passive, easy-believism faith.
I have always thought that “Living Faith Alone” would be a better title, but that is just me. Arguing titles is silly.
