Paul did not.( 1Tim 5:23 KJB,) We have many more verse saying drinking wine is OK both in the OT and the NT
For some, if they don’t have anything to try and control they aren’t satisifed. Plus, they are scared they might like it.Paul did not.( 1Tim 5:23 KJB,) We have many more verse saying drinking wine is OK both in the OT and the NT
Bill I don’t think it’s prohibited but for instance at our church we use juice mainly because of the children and also not to create an issue for recovering alcoholics.Paul did not.( 1Tim 5:23 KJB,) We have many more verse saying drinking wine is OK both in the OT and the NT
Baptists are hardcore anti-alcohol. Some even insist Jesus only drank and created non-alcoholic wine (good luck convincing them otherwise.) One local man was tossed out of his church for being seen carrying a beer can (one he had picked up from his front lawn that someone had tossed out of a car window and was on his way to throwing in the trash).Mt son is a Baptist so thats why the question I was not allow to get wine for thanksgiving

Maybe cuz some believe that consumption as mind-altering drugs is not not the kind of thing Christians ought to do.Why do some Protestant churches prohibit the drinking of wine
How about an abortion clinic bombing Christian? Or a gay-killing Christian? Or a child molesting Christian?Maybe cuz some believe that consumption as mind-altering drugs is not not the kind of thing Christians ought to do.
Besides - there nothing worse that a drunk Christian.
You can’t blame anyone for refusing to consume alcohol.Paul did not.( 1Tim 5:23 KJB,) We have many more verse saying drinking wine is OK both in the OT and the NT
Sorry, but I could list several denominations with many thousands of members who would argue otherwise. Down here in the Bible belt having a glass of wine (or any other form of alcohol) is considered highly sinful by many. I personally think having a glass of wine is far less terrible than gossip, gluttony, racism, etc.but I have found that I am in the minority around here. (I don’t drink but only because of non-religious reasons. I do use alcohol to cook with on occasion.)Today it would be hard to find a Baptist who would say that drinking is sinful.
Sorry, but if you wrote or posted something in response to my post I didn’t get it. Could you please post it again?
