Why do some Protestants hate us so much?

I don’t understand: who are you to judge? Could you explain please? Thank you. 🙂
If we are not to discern those who walk with the Lord and those who do not, then we cannot discern just about anything else.

If you really believe that everyone who says they are a Christian is a Christian, then best of luck to you.

…

Whatevergirl,

I find it sad that you view the Protestant Church as being “headless,” remind me when Christ died and became no longer a part of the church, please. He is our head, he has been our head past, present, and future, He is still alive, and lives in us, and in the Holy Scriptures we are given (John 1), No man can ever replace him. Even though Peter may have been leader of the apostles, I still have seen no mechanism by which that was to be passed on. Many things ended when the apostolic church ended, like miraculous healings, speaking in tounges, etc. etc. My contention is that that leadership position ended with Peter’s death, especially since we see no “primacy of the romish bishop” in any church texts until hundreds of years later.

That is my response,

You are evading the question. Please answer the question. By what authority do you presume to judge the heart of another?

Strawman. Where did I say that I believe that everyone who says they are a Christian is a Christian? Hint: nowhere. And how does your answer relate to the question I asked? Hint: it doesn’t.

The Word of God in John 1 is Jesus, not Scriptures. I find it sad that no matter how many times I post this link – now in my signature – bibliolatry continues.

Understood. You have not seen the mechanism by what authority was passed on.

I understand that that is what you believe. Please understand that, unless you give authoritative evidence that what you believe is the truth, then many of us cannot be persuaded of your point of view.

Afterburned, there you are! 🙂 I thought you left me. 😉 I’ll have to check in on your other threads!

And I’ll have to agree with Whatevergirl about the fullness of the faith. She’s spot-on; I never knew, as a Protestant, that my faith and walk with Jesus could be this full. And I’m still not full enough! 🙂 I too recognize the Mass as the celebration of the sacrifice and covenant Jesus made with man, by His Precious Body and Precious Blood. It makes perfect sense to me that He said “this IS my body” and “this IS my blood”, and that the Eucharist is fully indwelled by Him and becomes Him. That’s why when I exit Mass I’m just buzzing. :o

Strawman. I didn’t say that I presume to judge the heart of another. Nor did I attempt to judge the heart of another.

Please answer the question that I asked you which is:

Either that or admit that you have run out of substantive points to add to the discussion and therefore you concede.

And, to be honest, didn’t know I was breaking board rules at first… And I had no bad intentions whatsoever. I really just wanted for Catholics to be of one mind on different issues, and I was told - basically - that we have “false doctrines” and that we can’t promote Catholicism. I don’t know how I would have been promoting Catholicism and we certainly don’t have “false doctrines.” Even if I think that Protestants are wrong, I would never call them flat-out “false.” And this came from a Moderator!
On the forum I go to, a moderator posts pages of anti-catholic stuff!!! And this is a great forum to find resources to refute them.

What would I concede?

LOL.

That all who say they are Christians are not really Christians?

Is that some sort of revelation for you?

BTW, we are not called to judge hearts but judge fruit.
