Why do animals suffer?
There suffering cannot be punishment, since they have no moral sense; and it cannot be redemptive, since they have no immortal souls. Whether they go to Heaven is purely speculative, and it wouldn’t fit the fact that they lack immortal souls.
What is your reasoning?
The best answer I could think of is that animals do not suffer the same way humans do. Of course it can’t be the exact same, since they’re not human. But it’s safe to say they really do endure pain.
I mean, watching those animal abuse commercials just highlights this question, haha… But seriously.
