Why does God do this to us?

I prayed for severals days for God to give me something I wanted quite badly. And it seemed like He was going to give it to me, but before the day was even over, he took it back. I almost feel tortured by this.

Why does God do this to us? Why?

Is it something you needed or wanted? Is it something that advances God’s kingdom or yours? Who says God gave it to you? Who says that God took it back? These are questions you need to ponder. I’m not saying you did something wrong, but answering these questions will help you see the answer as to why this “thing” didn’t happen.

Our Father is interested in advancing His Kingdom and growing your faith, along with helping you learn certain lessons. Only you can decipher that. Ask the Father to give you wisdom and understanding in the matter.
