Why don't Muslims become Christian?

Here are two reason on why I remain a Christian and not become Muslin as prayer is concerned. Luke 18:1 “And her spoke also a parable to them, that we ought always pray and no to faint” and 1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Pray without ceasing”

I thought it was a simple question, how much time during the day do you give God your complete and undivided attention?

Yes of course. While you are eating? While you are working? While you are watching TV?

But how often do you give Him your complete and undivided attention? That was my question.
I sure do. I give him complete and undivided attention always.

Muslims don’t become Christians because they believe in the Quran and Muhammad. To do so, they must disbelieve in the previous scriptures. So basically they don’t become Christians because they believe Allah took it seriously after the birth of Muhammad and loved Muhammad so much that only his message is preserved and only his followers could corrupt nothing, heck he even swore by him.

Sister Amy is once again diverting the discussion! WHERE IS THE PROOF THAT THE QURAN IS FROM GOD?

Vickie

Yes. I guess some people are too ignorant to accept my answer the first time
Well, you call me ignorant and claim that you are giving God your complete and undivided attention all day long, even while you are doing other things. Which means that those other things get absolutely none of your attention. If that makes sense to you, who am I to argue?

It just doesn’t make sense to me… but neither do lots of things Christians claim.

Carry on.

Did I not just say that? Except for the weird last line…

Does pain normally elicit a humorous response?

Or do those in whose hearts is disease think that Allah would never expose their [feelings of] hatred?

And if We willed, We could show them to you, and you would know them by their mark; but you will surely know them by the tone of [their] speech. And Allah knows your deeds.

And We will surely test you until We make evident those who strive among you [for the cause of Allah ] and the patient, and We will test your affairs.

Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and opposed the Messenger after guidance had become clear to them - never will they harm Allah at all, and He will render worthless their deeds.

O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and do not invalidate your deeds.

Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and then died while they were disbelievers - never will Allah forgive them.
Is this meant to scare me? I can’t help it, if you don’t like my perception of your god. Nothing would ever make me believe that these words you’ve quoted above are really from God, so you’ve wasted your time.

As for hating, I hate EVIL!

I guess I can say the same thing about Muslims and what they claim. I just don’t understand why I adhere to Mohammad or anyone who marries a six year old and has sex with her when she reached age 9.

Diverting the discussion? I’m merely responding to posts.

Is there a reason you needed to write in all caps? Do you find that it demonstrates… how did eichenb2 put it?.. reasoning, rationality, and charity?

Oh wait, no, that would be diverting the discussion… d’oh!!!

Where is the proof that the Qur’an is from God? This is an excellent question, thank you so much for asking it. It’s very insightful, because the whole of Islam depends upon the answer. The proof that the Qur’an is from God is that the Qur’an is a miracle. It is no more possible for Jesus to raise Lazarus from the dead than for Muhammad to write/compose the Qur’an. Neither could happen without the will and power of God, defying rationale and logic, and even science. The proof is that the Qur’an is a miracle, that no human could possibly have originated it, therefore it must be from God. 🙂

🙂 And Vickie accused me of diverting the discussion. My, my.

And why do you think I was quoting them? For you? To make you believe they are from God? Truly, it’s not in my power to make you believe that. 🙂 Nor is it in your power to make me believe that they’re not. 🙂

Here is how i see it. I will not trust in a deity who doesn’t take Himself seriously, no matter how much you blame humans. God is the One who thwarts the plans of the wicked, it is not humans who thwart the plans of God. The deity Muslims preach is not to be trusted, it is the second image of the coin of the Mormon deity, who did not preserve His message until Smith restored it eternally. These deities preached are not God but idols and anyone can question God’s faithfulness and omnipotence and start blaming humans, as to me and my family, we serve the Lord.

Sister Amy, that apparently does not work with you.

of course, it is evident that you are Muslim because you believe the Quran is from God and Muhammad is a prophet. But, what you believe in means you must reject the previous scriptures…
No, it means I must only reject preservation and authenticity of previous scriptures. The only scriptures I have to believe in are the ones mentioned in the Qur’an, and as they were revealed, not in their present form.
It is not weird. You believe Allah sent prophet after prophet after prophet and people kept corrupting, but when it came to Muhammad, Allah decided to interfer and take it seriously, after all, it is Muhammad the “best of creatures” whom Allah swore by and the ummah, the rightly guided caliphs, the best of nations.
Allah decided to interfere and take it seriously? That implies I believe Allah didn’t take other scriptures and prophets seriously which certainly isn’t true. The difference between the Qur’an and previous scriptures is that the Qur’an is the last one, and it is for everyone, not just for one nation (e.g., Children of Israel.)

When did Allah swear by Muhammad? You’ve said this a few times lately and I’m still not quite sure what you’re talking about.
