Why is sperm donation legal?

Couldn’t a case be made that these “fathers” are procreating children but not supporting them? If the Mom were to apply for government benefits, could it “go after” the father first, like it does with every other child support case?
Without a law to specify otherwise, that’s right. In many places where sperm donation takes place, there is a law that that the sperm donor faces no legal fatherhood when operating through regulated facilities.

"Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply…’
–Genesis 1:28
Yes, multiply fruitfully but not irresponsibly.
When God said those words to the first humans, there was not such thing as “babies being in labs”.
And God didn’t say multiple with as many women as you want. What would be the point of marriage then or faithfulness if God thought it ok just to spread self around like that?

I guess all this problems started with the total separation of religion and government in western countries. Maybe good in some ways, but bad in others.

Parenthood is no longer being looked at by some as a great responsibility situation, but is rather looked at as a “I want what I want” situation.

To think a child cannot sell lemonade without license, a person will be fined for jaw walking, it is illegal to keep a street pigeon as a pet… yet a man can spread sperm to impregnate many women without license so they can have babies to grow up without father (I am referring to sperm donation to single women, which is often the case in my country).

Even though studies have shown that many men in prison come from household of absent father.

Why then just draw the line there? Why not secular country also allow polygamy?
After all, it is only affecting those people themselves.
Secular country don’t allow polygamy not because they are concerned of any confusion for childrens. If this was the true reason then they would not allow single or same-sex ivf either. Polygamy is rather illegal rather for feminist reasons.

So is there truly such a thing as secular country/governments?
Iow, they may not technically believe in a God or subscribe to religious believe/values, but instead they are following the new religion of feminism and political correctedness values.
Religion, and particularly Christianity, is out, but something else has filled it’s gap…
