Is this in the bible anywhere?Remember that once this life is done time as we know it does not exist.
Sister*.I hope so too my brother.![]()
Exodus 3:14 God says to Moses āI AMā not I was or I will be. Jesus said God is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. All are alive to God. They might be long dead to us but they are very much alive to God. Also with God a thousand years are as a day and a day is as a thousand years (see Matthew 22:32, 2Peter 3:8)Is this in the bible anywhere?
It gives you time to be prepared. You could start reading the daily Mass readings: dailygospel.org/main.php?language=AM&module=readings&localdate=20130822 for instance. Start attending Mass on Sundays. Pray dailyāthe Rosary or some other solid devotion. Iād recommend the Liturgy of the Hours for Morning and Evening Prayer: divineoffice.org/, if you think you can do it, but if not, just do what you can and donāt obsess over what you do or how much. Read relevant articles on Catholic Answers, etc. This is a golden opportunity to get in gear, so to speak.Update
I e-mailed the priest at the parish about RCIA and he told me it starts 17th September. It feels so far away.
Thank you for the links. I used to pray the Church of Englandās daily prayers, so I am used to long prayers as such.It gives you time to be prepared. Thank youVery proud of you
Donāt fret about it. Bright color is fine, you can always toss a cardigan or scarf over any dress. Just relax. But I feel like I am turning Mass into a fashion show for myself. Iām more concerned about what to wear than anything else. I know that a dress should be at least knee-length, but itās really hard to find one. Either a dress is too short or too revealing. I will also find a dress thatās not revealing, or knee-length, but then I will look at the color and think itās too bright for Mass. And because I am petite, itās even harder to find a dress.
For purposes of teaching, I find in depth talks like the following invaluableI really recommend this short video:
The ultimate reason to become Catholic: To finally meet Jesus in the Eucharist
John 6

READ, PRAY, READ,PRAY, READ,PRAY and you better post something on 18th September!Update

Satan can also stop you by throwing roadblocks in your way. The priest offered a great solution. Take it! Also, perhaps one of the other members could walk you home. I think you said the church was very close.I may not attend RCIA because it ends at 9pm, and in Winter it gets dark quickly. I live in a quite dangerous area, so itās not a likeable situation. The priest says he can instruct me himself, to fit my schedule and for my safety. Iām still deciding, but I am not going to let satan stop me from becoming a Catholic. He tried twice yesterday through my anxiety.
