Maybe Julius didn’t exist
Who do you think wrote his autobiography? Also who do you think wrote Bellum Gallicum?

Who told us that Julius Caesar wrote either of these?

there is no variance in Christianity.
Some say that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father (alone) while others say that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and from the Son. Some say the Roman Pope is infallible; others say no. Some say women should wear headcovering; others say no. Some (Episcopalians) say that women can be priests and bishops; others say no.

Dissent, heresy, apostasy, laxity, poor catechesis

Nothing that Christ instituted. His original church is the same

There are Christians who disagree with you.

there is no variance in Christianity. None.
Some Catholics believe that torture should be allowed in special cases, others say no. And there is variance in belief on whether or not capital punishment is justified. There is also variance on fasting regulations and the date of Easter. And there is variance on whether, as a general rule, Catholic priests should be married or unmarried.

Ok so we have the deposit of the faith. Only the Catholic church has that and it is synonymous with Christianity.

Everything outside that is is infected with more or less error
People’s opinions on what and what should not be allowed are irrelevant

Why is Catholicism superior to Hinduism and Buddhism???
In my opinion,

1st. Because the history can be proven true.

The Tradition of the Catholic Church can be traced, generation to generation, to Jesus Christ.

2nd. Because the Doctrines are wise.
3rd. The Doctrines do not contradict.
4th. Because the organization has stood for over 2000 years.

Although Hindus and Buddhists boast a longer history. The fact is that their history is of disparate groups all teaching contradicting ideas. For example, some Buddhists are atheists. Some, believe that Buddha is a god. There is no central authority to which all Buddhists or Hindus can go for guidance.

5th. Because of its universal presence. The Catholic Church is present in every part of the world because of its God given mission to make disciples of all nations. As far as I know, neither Hindus nor Buddhists have that mission.

6th. Because of the Doctrine of the redemptive suffering. This is the Doctrine which had the most impact in bringing me back home. It is explains the reason why evil and suffering exists in the world. It is very painful to accept. But, it is the only Doctrine that makes sense of suffering. Neither the Hindus nor Buddhists nor any other religion has ever been able to explain why people suffer. Only the Catholic Church and the Orthodox.

7th. Because of the Holy Eucharist.

The same is true of Christianity with different groups teaching contradicting ideas.

Jus my thoughts but Christianity is based on the love of Christ.
Buddhism is based on detachment and compassion.
Hinduism is based on … well I guess a lot of things depending on the form, but probabaly good Karma?

Buddhism cannot keep you out of hell, but it can get you out of hell. All the Buddhist hells are impermanent; you do your time , die in hell and get reincarnated.

The downside is that all the heavens are impermanent as well. 😦

I believe nirvana in Buddhism (or moksha in Hinduism) is permanent.
