I tried to edit the post above … but it timed out.yes, it useful to compare apples to oranges. much can be learned.
one way, or another, you’ll make your feelings clear, 1way. I’m sure of it!
This is the edit/continuation…
Dear friend … I do know how to stand up for what I believe in. If I didnt I would have been a skinny, bruised Irish kid.
…I could not help noticing that you have fairly strong opinions as well …
The point of my response was that the heart is the only focus of the Lord and his Blessed Mother in every instance of surpernatural intervention in history. Every time … no exception.
The Samaritan Woman at the well was given a revelation that I believe can be applied to the Latin question.
A similar controversy existed then as well … about the correct way to worship God …
Perceiving that Jesus had an understanding of spiritual things she posed the dilemma in the hope of clearing up the matter.
His response to her question was not what she wanted or expected … so she deferred to a higher authority…
To which Jesus responded …“the buck stops here”. (paraphrased)
…
“Sir,” the woman said, "I can see that you are a prophet.
20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem."
21 Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.
…23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
25 The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”
26 Then Jesus declared, “I who speak to you am he.”
My point.
Man is concerned with the externals. God’s sole focus is the heart. True worship has nothing in the slightest to do with the language of the worshiper.
