Why the bible is most assuredly not a Catholic book,

Amen! And the CC affirms and embraces this New Covenant each and every hour of the day, 365 days of the year, at Mass.

The CC teaches that the New Covenant is the marital relationship between God and His people, in which our sublime consummation of our ONENESS with Christ is made manifest in the Eucharist.

And as far as the CC having the wrong interpretation of any particular verses you cite, that is quite a peculiar comment, coming from a Protestant who believes in individual interpretation of Scripture.

To paraphrase Catholic apologist John Martignoni: if, according to Protestant theology, we have the right to read and interpret the Bible for ourselves and the CC choses to interpret those passages as supporting the Catholic teaching on the New Covenant, how can you, Hisalone, tell us that we’re wrong in our interpretation? That’s the interpretation we get when we read Scripture (not to mention the 2000 years of constant teaching of the Church has “got our back” so to speak.) 🤷
Yet you could not correctly tell me what the New Covenant is. All your dancing and back peddling does not change that fact.

What was wrong about it, His?

The New Covenant is the marital relationship between God and His people, in which our sublime consummation of our ONENESS with Christ is made manifest in the Eucharist.

You, as a Protestant believe we have the right to read and interpret the Bible for ourselves and the CC choses to interpret those passages as supporting the Catholic teaching on the New Covenant, how can you, Hisalone, tell us that we’re wrong in our interpretation, especially since you admit you are fallible.

Fallible, by definition, means you are going to be wrong at some point in your interpretation.

Only the CC claims infallibility when teaching on faith and morals.

Hisalone, you asked:
What the Catholic Church has failed to teach is no man will need a teacher all will know God. The CC teaches that one may know Christ in the Eucharist. But there is a Spirit of God that can be known and and through this Spirit one can go directly to te Father once covered with the blood. This same spirit writes Gods laws on the heart. Does the CC teach that?
See Pope JPII’s magnficent words below, from Veritatis Splendour:

The gift of the Decalogue was a promise and sign of the New Covenant, in which the law would be written in a new and definitive way upon the human heart (cf. Jer 31:31-34), replacing the law of sin which had disfigured that heart (cf. Jer 17:1). In those days, “a new heart” would be given, for in it would dwell “a new spirit”, the Spirit of God (cf. Ez 36:24-28)

I really don’t see your point about what the CC has “failed to teach”.

I think if I asked any non-Catholic Christian off the street some basic Biblical questions I’ll get all sorts of different answers (40,000 different answers, more likely!) that your pastors have “failed to teach.”

Oh so the RCC does not proclaim Jesus as Lord?? 🤷

The RCC is totally Bible-based. Wrong or right interpretations of the message vary. In comparison, the protestants do not agree among themselves and thus practice anything but true unity of faith… but the Catholics in turn, found a way to agree: Church Council.

The same method that produced the Nicene Creed protestants also believe in! Christ said that

He would be there among those who got together in His name, so… if EVERYONE got together, imagine how strong His presence would be?

We Catholics, the immense, largest congregation of faithful in the world have gotten together for a long time in His name, and our unity proclaims the presence of the Spirit. Luther turned his back from that and decided what to believe all on his one away from the congregation of the faithful. Zwingli, Calvin and the rest followed suit, and chose not to trust Christ’s promise but themselves. How so like Satan, how so like Adam. How so not the Apostles.

Protestants, in change, each one seperately decides by himself all alone and differs with all the rest. The one exception perhaps being the Anglicans.

The Lord is with us by His promise!

  1. Jehovah Witnesses proclaim Jesus as Lord.
(I do believe Catholics have a better understanding of Jesus as Lord that do the JWs)
  2. What does this have to do with any of the discussion we are having?
  3. The Reformation is a direct result of the Catholic Church being unfaithfull to the mission, the promises and to the purpose that was given to the true Church of God.

Sola Scriptura should be called Sola ‘I’ll-Do-Whatever-the-Hell-I-Want-because-Nobody-has-the-Authority-to-Tell-Me-My-Interpretation-of-Scripture-is-Wrong’.

.

just the presence here of protestants shows that they are interested in Catholicism… and find some of it valid (just don’t want to admit it)

i doubt any here think that Catholics are… well, all going to Hell… ?

Why do you look at the poll when my post did not say I vote for him

  1. The Reformation is a direct result of the Catholic Church being unfaithfull to the mission, the promises and to the purpose that was given to the true Church of God.
it was not a reformation but a de-formation because Luther LEFT… How can reform something you have nothing to do with? he started another church rather than reform… but in any case, the Catholic Church didn’t fail at a blasted thing. Certain members did and always have, alwasy will… big deal. There are sinners in the Church!!! BIG newsflash, Folks!!!

the Church did not f ail and CANNOT fail… Jesus promised that the very gates of Hell would not prevail over His Church and He has kept his promise. (Jesus is known for keeping his promises, don’t you think???)

there is nothing more overpowering than the gates of Hell… Satan is more intelligent than humans and has more supernatural power… Only God himself controls him…

God and the *Church!!! *

No one has yet explained which religion created the Bible, if not the Catholic Church.

What religion did Pope Damasus practice, who was the one who commanded that it be put together, in the first place? What religion did Pope Innocent I practice, who was the one who defined for all time the canon of the New Testament? 🤷

Gates keep things inside and keep things outside.

The blood of Christ is more powerfull than all the demons in hell

God has given His Church the power of the blood of Jesus and the gates of hell can not prevail against it.
