Yet you could not correctly tell me what the New Covenant is. All your dancing and back peddling does not change that fact.Amen! And the CC affirms and embraces this New Covenant each and every hour of the day, 365 days of the year, at Mass.
The CC teaches that the New Covenant is the marital relationship between God and His people, in which our sublime consummation of our ONENESS with Christ is made manifest in the Eucharist.
And as far as the CC having the wrong interpretation of any particular verses you cite, that is quite a peculiar comment, coming from a Protestant who believes in individual interpretation of Scripture.
To paraphrase Catholic apologist John Martignoni: if, according to Protestant theology, we have the right to read and interpret the Bible for ourselves and the CC choses to interpret those passages as supporting the Catholic teaching on the New Covenant, how can you, Hisalone, tell us that we’re wrong in our interpretation? That’s the interpretation we get when we read Scripture (not to mention the 2000 years of constant teaching of the Church has “got our back” so to speak.)![]()
