Your authority on your above statement proves contrary to Sacred Scripture. In Acts15 clearly defines an infallible authority being used here in the council of Jerusalem, vs. 17b “Thus says the Lord who accomplishes these things known from old.”…vs.28 It is the decision of the HOLY SPIRIT AND OF US ( INFALLIBILITY) not to place you any burden beyond these necessities.

Because these canonized books of the bible, were being under attacked, by sometimes Catholics themselves, and so Supreme Councils were headed in order to hear these accusations out, notice although, at the conclusion of each counsel, the canonized books remained the same, they never changed. Council of Trent is saying, no more discussion will be heard of the cannon, “Thus says the Lord”, it is the decision of the Holy Spirit and of Us (the church council the successors of the Apostles)
