I agree, you do not need to pray the Rosary. I do not even desire that you pray the Rosary. I do not want anyone praying the Rosary unless they understand the relationship of Jesus and His Mother. If anyone approached the Arc of the Covenant and was in a state of sin they would die.Good morning, goodfella: As we enter the days of rememberance of Our Lord’s final days on this earth, let us never forget His divine sacrifice! I am still scratching my headafter reading post#824, especially after reading the verses you cited(presumably to justify praying through Mary&saints). Proverbs 15:8, and James(Jesus’s hal-brother) 5:16, could depict any number of “upright” men, or women
I read them a number of times, and cold not infer that these indicated Mary. In Revelation, 11:19, is just talking about the Ark Of The Covenant; onceagain
. And who is this “woman” depicted in Rev 12:1? I’m pretty sure that the “crown of tweve stars” represents the 12 tribes of Israel, but I cannot with certainty, say that the woman represents Mary. And to be clear, I believe in BOTH intercessory prayer(praying with and for others) and one-on-one, prayer(to God, through Jesus)Question: If Mary was as pristine, as you are describing, would her entire bloodline(including her other children), have to be sinless, and without a sin nature? Aren’t all people, born of a woman(except Jesus) born into a sinful world(Romans 5:12) and with a sin nature? But, I know that with God, all things are possible; and that He is totally capable of preparing any “vessel” to carry out His blessed work. Did the apostles pray through Mary? Most of them spent a lot of time with her.If she was sinless, would she say,“How my soul rejoices in God, my Saviour!”? Anyway, what it comes down to is, choices. We make them daily, sometimes hourly; what to wear, what to eat, who to marry, where to work; whether to pray to God directly or to Mary and the saints! Whether the pope is a holy father, or whether God is Our Holy Father
Why don’t non catholic Christians recite the rosary? I think it’s a matter of choice, once again, catholics feel the need or obligation to; which is fine, and I for on am not condemning them, and would ask for the same respect in return for not reciting it! Things that sustain me and keep me grounded and focused: 1) my personal relationship with Jesus,2) the peace of Christ, 3)knowing that, in spite of myself, God loves and accepts me just as I am,4)a loving, obedient, God-loving, and God fearing wife,5) serving for and witnessing about my Saviour:thumbsup:
Since Mary would have God in her womb she would die also if she were in a state of sin. Also, mothers keep the cells of their children in their bodies throughout their lives and some develop what is known immune problems because of this.
Mary is no different except that Jesus was conceived through the union of Mary and the Holy Spirit and her body gave Jesus His Body. So His human body has only her DNA. She has God in her body her entire life. Amazing. They are united throughout eternity in a way no other human being could be united.
